So I didn't really do a "real" PTR, but just to give the details of our upcoming trip:
August 18-19 (yes it's short and sweet!)
Cast of Characters:
Me: 27 Disney nut - been going since in utero
DBF: turning 32 on this trip! woo hoo. Fellow Disney nut, although not quite as bad as me. I am also unsure if he was in attendance in utero. I will have to ask him mom sometime.
Now, you may have noticed that we live close enough to go often. However, with L.A./orange county traffic, we don't go as much as I would like. We make it down there probably 5 times a year. This trip is going to be a BIGGIE though cause we are staying at GCH for the night. I am soooo excited. The last time I stayed at a Disney hotel was at WDW when I was 8.
To be a bit of a "Debbie Downer", this trip comes at a much needed time. I work for a nonprofit foundation and just found out last week that our program is being cut and I will be laid off. This is a major blow - not only for me personally, but I am sad that the good work we are doing won't be able to carry on...
So, I am clinging to my Disney dreams right now. I have to say, my DBF has been very sweet and keeps texting me, "Almost at Disney, hang in there!"
I really do believe things happen for a reason! Ah, well.
I plan to do my FIRST TR EVER when we return! Just to give ya guys a heads up - we are Disney commandos in that we get there early and stay late. But, we like to take our time while we're there. We like going on the "big rides", as well as rides like Casey, Jr. We also love hitting up the Cove Bar and I definitely believe in food porn!
So that's it for now. I hope to have some readers and get to know fellow Disers!
Oh, btw - I went to Home Depot and they were out of the green mickey head.
So I will just try to spot others!
