Leftover taco meat?


I make taco ring with taco meat. You need cresent rolls. Depending on how much you have leftover will determin how many cans. When I make it for roughly a pound of meat I buy 3. I use my Pampered Chef round pizza stone and you lay the crescent rolls in a circle overlapping like a big sunburst with the points on the outside. I add shredded cheddar cheese to the cooked/warm taco meat so it melts. THEN.... You put taco meat on each of the larger ends. Pull the pointed side over and kinda push it down to seal it. I think I bake it on about 375 maybe. When it is done...just cut into sections. I will see if I can find the recipe online and post it here. My kids love this. Sometimes I buy that jar cheese queso dip and warm that up and pour it over each section after it has been cut.
 

But I have a gigundo box of Kelloggs Corn Flakes...What to do?


My favorite things to do with Corn Flakes - Pork Chops.

Melt a stick of butter in a small skillet, dredge the chops in the butter and then dredge them in crushed corn flakes ( not finely crushed, just break them up) once I put them on top of the corn flakes before I coat the second side I salt and pepper to taste. Place in a baking dish. I alway drizzle the left over butter over the chops then cover it pretty thoroughly with more corn flakes and bake at 350 for 45-40 minutes or so depending on thick the pork chops are. YUMMY!!!!!
 
I quarter potatoes in the bottom of crockpot then add drained canned green beans. Layer porkchops on next then cover with a couple cans of tomato soup (undiluted). Cook on low it's ready when you get home from work.
I thought this didn't sound good but people at work just kept on raving about it so we tried it and loved it. Can be made with round steak also... so I am told.
 
Croutons are my current overage. Any suggestions?.......P
. A few years ago we discovered the "Earl of Sandwich" in DTD. I love tomato soup and will have it with most sandwiches. They serve it with croutons rather than crackers. I had never had it that way but now serve croutons with soups rather than crackers and the kids and DH love it. Even if they're a little stale they are still great!! Hope this helps....
 
I have a good, easy Mexican casserole recipe that uses tomato soup.

1 pound ground beef browned with chopped onion
I can whole kernel corn drained (or frozen)
1 can tomato soup
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 T chili powder

Mix it all up and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes

Sometimes I prepare a corn muffin mix and spread it on top before baking, makes a crust over it.

My kids all LOVE this recipe.
