I searched but can't find answers I have had a wild week I was rushed to the hospital last week and spent 5 days there. I'm not going to go into the gory details but I have been in a lot of pain for 7 years couldn't walk more then 50 to 100 feet without being in great pain.

They figured out what is wrong (it's complicated) the spectacular part is I am now pain free I can walk for miles without pain no more mobility scooter.

The bad part they fixed me by putting me on a modified combination soft/low residue/ diabetic diet. I can no longer eat anything that I like my meats have to be ground veggies need to be soft (mashed) nothing with seeds no whole grains.

We are going to Disney in about 51 days I am so happy about not needing a scooter but so upset about the food issues I don't know what I am going to do.

Anyone know how far Disney will go to help in unusual diet issues. The Chef Mickey breakfast is fine I can eat lots of scrambled eggs but all of our Dinners I think are going to be a problem. I just found out last night so I am still trying to get my head around what I can and can't eat but I am panicking about Disney

Thank you for any help

I think your best bet would be to read all the menus before you go and decide on the best places for you to eat. You can go to www.allears.net. They have up-to-date menus from every restaurant in the parks and resorts. And remember that the restaurants are pretty good about modifiying menu items for people with special needs. If you see a dish that comes close to working for you, consider if it would help to remove or substitute an ingredient for something else. It also might be good to find a few fallback items that you can rely on. Like is plain pasta with a little butter OK? If so, you can always ask for pasta to be prepared that way if the sauces or toppings on the menu won't work for you. Hope this helps and hope you have a great trip!:)

I am so happy you got answers and are feeling better :goodvibes

One option for Disney is change your reservation to the cabins in the fort wilderness campgrounds. You can drive to a local grocery store or have groceries delivered. That way you can make meals that work for you. Mousekeeping does the dishes :thumbsup2
