I have finally decided!!!!!!

OK, after weeks of making a reservation and then switching and then switching again, OK you get the picture. We have finally decided to stay at the Polynesian with Garden View Concierge for our stay from Nov. 30th- Dec. 4th. Our stay will be roughly 400.00 more but we are going from the WL with a Courtyard View at 617.00 to GVC at the Polynesian for 1017.00. I know it's more but we honestly think it will be worth it for our stay. Thanks for everyones tips and suggestions!! Take care, Chip.

Thanks Mirlow, after having debated this more times than you could know, we finally have decided on our stay. We have stayed at the Poly with concierge GV last summer for 10 nights and we honestly thought we would be better off by staying here! Having said that, I still wished we could get the Lagoon View with Concierge but it's roughly 227.00 more just for the 4 nights just for the view and we were not willing to go that high! chip64, dont worry you didn't get a LV, I bet the garden views are just as nice and be honest, how long are you in your room to look out. I did stay LV concierge in June, had a great time and although I must admit the view was beautiful and it cost me only 98.00 cause I stayed 1 night I wouldn't spend more then that. The Poly I think has great views no matter where your room is located.

We've only done GV. One trip we had a LV but when I found out it was a second floor room we switched over to GV and saved $300. Ever since I am perfectly happy with a GV room. I don't want to take any chances of spending a ton of money on a room I won't be happy with. I think there is only one bad GV room and we actually got it in July ( the one next to the service area). They were able to switch us out the next day. BTW on our past trip I switched reservations at least 6 times For now on we are staying put with the Polynesian and our other new favorite the AKL.

I think you will love the Garden View Concierge. We stayed in room 1521 in August and loved that room a lot. It was pretty far down the hall from the concierge lounge but it was quiet, convienient to walking out for the water pagent and fireworks, and had a pretty little island of bushes and a tree right outside the patio that sort of hid the quiet pool view. The staff was wonderful as were the offerings at the lounge. I would stay there again in a nanosecond.
