Who gets in a 3 hour long line? Or even a 2 hour long line? We were at DLR the week Nemo Subs reopened in 2007, and the lines were consistently 3+ hours. From time to time on various trips we have seen other lines that were nearly as long. (Don't even get me started on WDW.)

Raise your hand if you would get in a line that is already 2+ hours.

Um, not now or anytime in the future. Esp not with young children. I can't imagine any ride to be worth over a 2 hour wait.

But, when I was in college in Southern California, a new roller coaster opened up at Magic Mountain. My friends and I stood in line for..... FOUR .... hours. :scared1:

It was light when we started, and dark when we finished! Life was much simpler back in college!

Never again, lol!

I won't stand in any line over 45 minutes. My limit is usually 20 minutes. This is why I go during off season on weekdays. Nothing is worth that long a wait......maybe Johnny Depp.

I was going to say 45 is my max, but last trip I got into the PFF line that was 1hr 25mins. Thank goodness is was not actually that long a wait. I think people that have APs esp. locals, can go into the park with the mindset that they are there to do just a few things--like wait for 3 hrs to ride Nemo.

30 mins max

However, I can say that Indiana Jones gets me everytime! You think the wait isn't that long...but it really is! Of course it doesn't feel too bad since your constantly moving and it's like a 5 mile death hike to the jeeps. Ok, maybe not THAT bad...

As kids, I remember standing in line for Space Mountain with my brother and our dad for probably 2 hours...

I can't imagine doing it now at DLR, but at the time the anticipation was well worth it!

And for our upcoming December Orlando trip, we're going to Universal. We really really really want to see the Harry Potter stuff, and I"m sure that even 6 months out the lines will still be nasty. We will just deal with it, because it'll be worth it to us to ride the rides during the first year of the wizarding world.

I am NOT a fan of waiting in long lines either, i have A.D.D., so lines are not much fun.

But I have waited in a reallllllly long line ONCE.

Back in 2003 (I think it was) I took a trip down with my buddy from high school and my B.I.L.

We spent 2 days at Magic Mountain too and I was DYING to ride "X". It was closed the whole time we were there. I was pretty bummed out because it was one of the main reasons we went on the trip, just to ride it!

The last day we were there they opened it up at 3 pm and I got in line right away (so did everyone else in the park it seemed). I wasn't going to miss it!

After about 3 hours in line it "broke down". They announced that it might be back open within the hour. finally after about an hour and a half it re-opened.
By the time I got OFF of the ride it was 10 pm!

That's 7 HOURS!! The worst part, the 2 guys I was with chickened out about an hour into the wait and I was left there, alone, for 6 hrs!

It was worth it though.

The Dobies don't wait in line. Unless it is Indiana Jones, for which we will wait 30 to 45 minutes, or TSMM, for which we will wait half an hour.

If u want to see long lines, than six flags magic mountian is the place to go haha. The norm wait time is pretty much 1-2hr for the big rides. I am use to those long lines. So when I went to disneyland and saw 30mins wait times or even 45, I was like this is nothing. However I am spoiled with the Disney wait times now and I can no longer wait 2 hours to get on a ride in six flags.

Hi Molly! We're going to Orlando in October and spending some time at Universal for HP, too. Bree is a big fan of the books. I may bite the bullet and buy the FOTL pass - on a Tuesday in mid Oct it is only $20 each. Have a great trip. :)

At DL, my limit is 20 minutes, unless it's something just opened or something I really want to ride, then I may wait up to 40 minutes.

I have an AP, so if I want to ride something bad enough, I'll wait till the line is shorter. No way would I spend more than 45 minutes waiting.

On my very first trip to DL in 1982 I waited 3 hours and 20 minutes to ride Space Mountain:eek: Thanks god for the Dis and fastpass:lmao:

I think an hour is my limit now. But prior to fast pass 90min or 2hour sure.

When I think about my last trips to DL and WDW only Nemo subs and TSMM both parks had those long lines. At least in WDW TSMM is a FP attraction.

No, I don't like to wait past 45 minutes. I can see an hour for something awesome, but not more than 90 min. max....

I remember as a kid standing in line for an hour plus but we always went in summer time as an adult taking my kids we have never waited more than 30 mins and thats almost too long for my autistic son!!

We waited for 3 hours for Rocket Rods :scared1: the year it opened. It was so NOT worth it. That ride was over so fast!
But hey, the ride was not in the park very long so atleast we can say we rode it. :)

OMG I think we did too!!! I think I lied in my other post. LOL That was so long ago and such a horrible memory that apparently I've just blocked it. LOL Man that was the worst line and the worst ride....

Add me to the list of "Those who waited in a traumatic 3 hour long line for the Rocket Rods". The worst part was when the line went into the building that used to house the Circlevision Theater; that area had projections of race cars (IIRC...it was some form of/forms of transportation) 360 degrees around. It was worse than Mickey's Vomit Wheel, or whatever they call the ferris wheen at DCA . All that for a 3 minute ride. PLUS they took the Peoplemover out for it :sad2:

The only other "more than an hour, before the days of Fastpass" attractions I've waited for were Star Tours (the month it opened; 4 hours) and Captain EO (the week it opened in 1986; also 4 hours), and the Roger Rabbit ride (about 2 hours, a couple of months after it opened).

With Fastpass, I'm spoilt...there's no way I'd wait over an hour for anything again. Well, maybe with the exception of Star Tours 2.0, and the Little Mermaid ride, should they not have Fastpasses when they open.

Opening Day of Nemo was 6 hour wait time... and who waited? APs...

Fun reading everyone's stories about crazy wait times.
The summer that Space Mountain opened I was going into the 3rd grade and think we waited 3 hours or something. My Dad gets into the car and I turn to to my Mom and tell her "I'm not going". Total cold feet, I wouldn't budge. My poor bewildered Dad rode by himself after we waited that entire time. This was before the "Pass Off" option.
I think I was well into my 20s and before they let me live that down.
