I have alot to be grateful for

my trip is paid plus I get free dining. My kids are healthy, I have a roof over my head and food in my cabinets..BUT I just figured out I wont have much spending money on our trip. Thank God the kids are making their own so they will have money. I know in my heart the trip will be great without much spending money but its even more fun when you can shop Hopefully some will come my way (ex that hasnt paid support in a few months) and I will have a little extra..I hope I didnt sound ungrateful but I just wanted to get this off my shoulders to my DIS family..

Your are so right, bluejasmine! You do alot to be thankful for! We all do! But even in the midst of it, we find ourselves hoping for something a little extra. Nothing to feel ungrateful about! I hope that ex pays up so that you and your children can go shopping!!

is support from an ex really supposed to be for disney i thought it was for living expensives not vacations lol has someone who pays alimony and child support im very dissapointed to hear this

I dont really believe this is a topic for this board so I will make this as short as I can. I very rarely receive any support for my kids from my ex. I pay for all their needs clothes, food, medical, entertainment, school so when I do receive a payment or two I do with the money what I see fit. As a judge once told my ex I did not have to answer to anyone for what I did with the support as long as my kids were obviously getting what they need. I also at one time paid child support for my current husband, I had no problem doing so since he supported us so I do know what its like to pay it. I hope this is the end of this topic as I feel I really dont owe you an explanation..

Thanks hon! I appreciate it. My DH and I talked about it last night and he started a side job last night that he will set aside some money from so I know it will work out. Like I said yesterday Im so glad the kids were already making their own money. My son cut another yard this morning for his money and will do another one this afternoon. Im very proud of both of my kids, they always work for their own money for our trips so I hope to be able to suprise them with some mickey money during our trip..

You're right....we all have a great deal to be thankful for. I know I am. It sounds like not only will you have a great trip, but that you're raising your kids to be great adults! It's always fun to dream of spending any amount of money we want on all those "things" but it sounds like you have a perfect idea of what's important. I'm not even going to comment on the support issue. You know what's right.

Bluejasmine:Have agreat time, I am sure things will work out fine for you!! I find with only 2 other guys in my family I have to squeeze in shopping at WDW!!! If you have the trip and the meals paid for that means sooo much!!
