I know it's a big no-no to not eat at least your minimum number of points each day but what if you're sick? I have 18 points left but my stomach is upset and I don't feel well enough to eat. Do you think not eating my points will slow weight loss down?

Thanks:(

Holly

First of all, poor you!!! Feel better! :)

IMO, if you're sick, you're sick. You certainly don't want to force yourself to eat, that's just going to make you more miserable. One or two days of extremely low calories due to sickness shouldn't derail your weight loss.

Having said that, this would be a great time to burn a LOT of points on stuff you couldn't normally allow yourself. IIRC from when I did WW, a shake from McDonald's was something obscene like 9 points, but since you have 18 to spend.... :)

Holly,

I agree that missing your points target for a day or two when you're feeling yucky is okay...

Listen to your body, and just eat what might you feel better. When you're feeling stronger and steadier, jump right back on program!

I agree,
If your sick, listen to your body. No good having it come back up again. That is even worse for your body. All that acid and nutrients already there would be lost.

Try crackers and ginger-ale, and remember to try to keep yourself somewhat hydrated.

I hope you get better soon. Take it easy and rest!

As my mentor told me "No-one needs to go to WW because they can't eat enough points."

Most people eat more or the wrong foods when sick. Eat dry toast or whatever is best for your ailment. However, drink lots of water - dehydration and not eating even for a few days is a big NO NO. If you throw up the water, boil it first let it cool and drink about 60 oz. to replenish your body.

Feel better.

ALWAYS take care of your medical needs first. If you're sick, do what you need to do to feel better, and then worry about your weight.
