I hope it's not tabu to ask, but while I think his vacation planning looks very interesting, I'm wondering of how much use it would really be to our trip, specifically.

We are only going to be at WDW for four days -- 3 days at MK and 1 day at MGM. And, we are staying *off* property.

Do think the purchase would still be worth it for such a short trip, visiting only two parks?

Thanks for your help.

You can find out for under $20.

Consider this...
Would you be willing to change your plans if he recommended something different?

Last year when I was considering buying TG Mike membership, someone asked me this... since you are spending THOUSANDS of dollars for a trip, wouldn't it make sense to spend $20 (whatever the price is) to help improve your trip/touring plans?

I am sooo glad that I did! I only bought it 30 days before we left, Prior to that We had been to WDW 3x, I am on the DIS constantly so I didn't think I needed to join. In the end the above question changed my mind and boy am I glad that we did! So many helpful hints. I changed my touring plan of MNSSHP based on the recommendations and got everything in that I wanted to! It saved me a lot to time and money in the end, and I am very thankful for his site.

Have fun on your trip!

Ahhh...Robo, my friendly adviser. A *coy* answer. ;)

My answer...sure I want the best trip possible. I'd be willing to change plans per suggestion. Plans, though...not parks. I just didn't know if his planners were geared more toward the longer vacations or for those dis-goers who want to do *all* the parks.

I'd go with passporter, instead. TGM's best feature is the incite as to which park to go on which days. In your situation, that's pretty much going to be a given.

Passporter is much better at maximizing your enjoyment of a given park, in my opinion.

I like TGM, and I hate to say this, but I don't think you'd lose out on a whole lot if you didn't go with TGM for this trip. It's only a $20 investment, but if you pay it and don't feel like you were able to get enough out of it, it might sour you towards TGM, and next time you have a longer trip with more flexibility in choosing your park days, you would miss out on the very valuable info that he can give you.

TGM does give you good info on park touring, but you have to put in the time and effort to make it work for you - he doesn't just spit out a personal touring plan for you, though he does have a few samples. But there are other places to get sample touring plans from too.

It doesn't matter if you're staying offsite - I did, and got great value from TGM without ever looking at the resort info.

With 3 MK days, you have 3 mornings to get headline attractions out of the way - most people can't budget 3 MK mornings because they have other parks to do. I think you'll be fine if you ing this one. Of course, if $20 isn't a big investment for you and you're curious, you could sign up and test out his recommendations - that way you can learn a few new things, test if his good days for MK really were that good compared to his "bad" days, and see the value for yourself.

I usually go out and buy a new book before every trip. I bought the passporter last year, and the Unofficial guide the year before. This year I decided to use Tour Guide Mike instead. I have enjoyed it immensley! He has a lot of information and insides that the books do not offer. So I have a lot of information at hand. We are making our 8th trip to WDW and I still feel I need more information. So if you try it and don't like it he has a money back guarantee! What do you have to lose!

Kristen, WHEN are you going? If it's summer or other busy season, or if it's your first trip, I'd still recommend TGM even with three days at MK. If it's slower season and you've been to WDW before, then I think you could probably manage on your own using other resources and save TGM for a bigger trip.
