My mom is accompanying us on a 4 night cruise. the ressies were made separately and are both cat. 12 guaranteed. I called up disney to make sure that we would have the same dining schedule and would eat together. She said that the dining was now linked.

Does that mean the location is linked, too? I'm not sure I want to be right next door. I also don't want connected staterooms. I heard they are noisier. I will enjoy having her along with us, but would like a little distance from time to time, if you know what I mean.

does anyone know how the linking thing works?

I was told from DCL that you can't make a Palo reservation for more than the number of people in a cabin. As such, make one reservation per cabin and when you get there just give Palos a call and let them know that they should be linked.

It only means that your dining/seating will be linked. She will be at your table. That's all it means. It doesn't have anything to do with the cabins themselves.

We were linked with SIL & BIL and all that meant was we'd be dining together. Their cabin was down the hall from us, but it wouldn't have mattered if they were on a different deck altogether.

Hope this helps. Have a great cruise! :sunny:

Actually the online ressie system let me make Palo ressies for 5-6 adults even tho we have only 2 adults in our cabin.

Susan thanks so much for that information!

Do you have any idea how many people (max) you can book? We have a group of 7 going - could you do that with your reservation?

the max online appears to be "5-6 adults" ... but I'm guessing there's a set number of ressies they allow for 5-6, and for 3-4 and for 1-2 ... so once the 5-6 ressies are full then they allow a max of 3-4.

For the repo cruise I was able to get 5-6 for dinner, but could only get 3-4 for brunch and for high tea.

We actually want a ressie for 14, not sure how we're going to pull that one off :(

What online ressie for Palo? Can you book Palo reservations in advance now?

Yes. Through DCL's website at www.disneycruise.com you can book advanced Palo, Spa, children's activities, and excursions. Click on the "My Disney Cruise" link. You'll need your DCL reservation number, birth date, and I think you may have to be registered on DCL's website - I can't quite remember.
Concierge guests can make the ressies 105 days in advance.
Castaway Club guests 90 days in advance.
All other guests 75 days in advance.

Think I got that all right .... or pretty close to it.

Cool! :cool1:

I didn't know that. What a fabulous addition to the DCL website. It will be so nice not to have to go stand in line as soon as we board to try to book these things.

DCL is just AWESOME :goodvibes

Just one more thing: Your booking has to be paid in full, before you can make the online ressies.....
