I have a really GROSS question about dogs....

Well, she won't explode but she may wind up impacted and require surgery. I had a groomer that I had been using since before Scruffy (we had a Himalayan cat that required grooming). I found that even though he would go in for grooming I was still having to take him to the vet for expression every 2 months or so. Well, I changed grooming facilities and the new one takes care of his stinkyness, thank heavens! This lady is so funny, we had a long talk about that problem before she groomed him for the first time. When I picked him up she didn't hesitate to tell me how full they were ! Now I take him in every so often for a bath just so she'll take care of that unpleasantry for me.

Eeek! I'll make sure to tell them that I want it done.
My dog doesn't scoot often, but a few times over the last couple of weeks she has been. She doesn't seem bothered by it yet.

Yah, I have a lab. She gets really stressed out when having to stay in the kennel. Last time the vet told me she had to have her anal glands emptied before going into the kennel or she would get sick. Now I don't believe you have to do it yourself, I sure hope not!,ahaha The vet will gladly take care of that.

Trust me, it's money well spent to have someone else do it Back 20 some odd years ago I had both a black and yellow lab. Well, back then, the vets didn't offer to do it for you and I truly never thought to ask them so I did it. Believe me, IT AIN'T FUN! It's right up there in my book with the suppository I gave the black lab once to relieve her discomfort, but that's another story
