I have a Question?

Where does everyone get there pins from. I live about 3 hours From Disney, but I get there a little bit, but not often enough for me. (I would live there, if I could and I mean In Disney). I have pins but usually I just buy what I like. Where does everyone find all of the pins they have. We usually look at most of the pin stands, but keep seeing the same ones all of the time. I love this pin trading, but I need help. Also how do you find out which ones are limited, special, etc.

I would appreciate any help I could get.

Thank you

There are many pin locations all over the WDW resort. IMHO the best spots are the Boardwalk Pin Cart and EPCOT Pin Central. However, there are some pins that are only sold at limited locations (e.g. the MSEP Farewell spinner was only sold at the Expo Hall in Town Square MK; The Atlantis Opening Day pin was only sold at MGM). So the best advice I can give you ask the CMs when you are there what pins are new/coming out soon and where you can get them. The limited ones have the word limited on the bottom of the card. Again, if you have questions regarding what is on the cart, ask the CM or other traders if they are around.

You've got one idea that most other people miss. Buy only what you like! Don't speculate on what others might like. I normally buy at least 2. One to keep, one to trade.
Since you can get there relatively quickly, you have an advantage over most of us. If you get some new pins, you can always post on this board and someone will probably trade with you.

As for limited, special pins that are no longer sold, the best source of information is probably www.pinpics.com where we are amassing a database of Disney pins. There is a search feature that helps you find the pin you are trying to get info about.

Sigh --- Mostly auctions  Necessary evil, I guess.
Sometimes I do buy directly from Disney.

The website www.dizpins.com is a very informative site. They have info from all the parks (WDW,Disneyland, Paris and Tokyo Disneyland). It is a news information site with pictures of new releases from all the parks, plus future releases. This site is updated nightly, plus they have archives from previous months. Check it out!

thank you everyone for your help. We are going again in Sept (yeah). I am going to go where you told me to go and try asking the cm's . Also thanks for the site to go to about the pins.

I took a quick look did not have enough time to really look at it, but tomorow I plan on really looking at the site. So far it looks really good.

Again thanks a million, and I hope I can get some pins to trade:pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi Webmomom,

I just sent you a private message since your e-mail wasn't listed. Hope it makes sense -- you can only send 1,000 characters in PM and I was too wordy and kept having to edit it down! If you'd like to reply to my PM, just send me an e-mail at my address below. Thanks!
