background.. today husband had an altercation with a bee while holding my camera bag and he says put i say dropped the whole thing, body, 10-17mm, 70-200 mm and 28-135mm from about 1-2 ft...everything thus far looks ok, the only thing that fell out was my newest lens of course, 10-17 but so far that will focus etc. not sure if that will continue but here's hoping...

the problem is the card that was in the camera at the time i could not load the photos via my card reader( which sometimes messes up) but using the camera could except they are just a blue painting of a flower( pse5) instead of the thumbnail except for 1...they show up as photos when i scroll through the camera...so is this just a quirk, something happened during the drop/gently place on the ground...any ideas?

i have to commend myself....i kept my cool when it happened unlike my normal donald duck ish personality:rotfl2:

thanks

It seems very strange that the card would have gotten damaged, it should be pretty well protected, completely inside the camera?

Try just using Windows Explorer to look at it, not PSE, and see what you can see...

i finally got it to load using zoombrowser so once again pse5 must be being tempermental....hopefully if i ever get a bigger computer it will end my pse problems as well...

do have another question... wondering if anyone has had better success with an in computer card loader vs the external kind....or vice versa...

There should be absolutely zero difference between internal and external card readers... they all hook up via USB so the Windows itself has no idea if it's inside or outside your case.

I'm glad Zoombrowser did it for you, but I'd still suggest copying the files manually and then importing them into whatever program you like... that way you don't have to worry about any particular program acting up.

I agree with Ggroucho, I always download manually..

that way I have much better control of my filing system..

you just connect with a card reader, the pc will recognize it as another drive, then click select all ..and copy to..whatever folder you want...

Your husband has been a little accident prone lately. First, your beloved car, now your camera... what did you do?
