I took 7 years off to have my two boys and then took a job as a carer visiting people in their homes. A bit different from working in an office but the hours suited me.
Well 9 1/2 years down the line, last week I applied for a part-time job as a Doctor's Receptionist which is a 20 min walk from home. The Practice Manager was really friendly and it was like having a chat with one of my friends. That was on Wed and Thurs she phoned to offer me the job. I have been so hyper since!!
I went to pick up my timesheet from work on Friday only to be given the usual Xmas/ New Year letter telling me I would have to work some of the bank holidays. You cannot believe the pleasure I got from saying no and handing in my letter of resignation
No more weekends or bank holidays
