I'm confused.
I have my original mix of direct and resale points from 2007/2008. All grandfathered in.
I have a small BC resale bought in 2023 so that is restricted to use at the O14
I'd like to stay at Copper Creek, I have a dream of staying in a cabin for a few nights. I'll need more points to make that happen at the time of year I usually travel. If I bought some resale points at Grand Floridian or Polynesian would they be eligible to use for CCV or would I have to buy direct? I really don't want to buy CCV.

OP, so I don't think any of your points are restricted from booking CCV. In October, we stayed 3 nights at the cabins. 8001.
Pros:
-They piped in the music for fireworks and electrical water pageant. We didn't see the pageant but we could see the fireworks. We could definitely hear the fireworks.
-Very quiet area. The boat horns do not bother us.
-Nice size patio.
-Beautiful interior

Cons:
-Spa jets did not work the entire time and the temp was set so high that it was not pleasant to use. They came to fix it but it rained and they could not work on it in the rain.
-Not much different that 2 bedroom villas. Essentially this is a stand alone 2br villa. The little extras like tv in the bathroom-didn't work, spa didn't work, ice maker in freezer didn't work.
-Not worth the double points that 2 bedrooms cost.

I think these cabins should be priced around 60 points per night and value season 50 points per night and then 75 points per night for peak season. They don't sleep as many as a grand villa and the footprint is relatively the same as a two bedroom.

This was a bucket list for my husband, but we would not book there again. We switched to BLT for three nights and there were three bathrooms in the two bedroom.

Saying all that, we are still going to book a Polynesian Villas Bungalow to check it off our bucket list. :)

We have a very similar setup and booked the cabins with no issues. They are not part of the restricted inventory...smjj

All the points you currently have are good at CCV. Any more resale you want to buy will be usable too, as long as you buy at an O14 resort.
