I'm in the process of planning my family vacation to WDW Resort for June 5th-10th of 2006. I have a party of nine total people. There will be 5 adults and 4 children ages 2,4,9 and 14. I want to reserve rooms at either POFQ,CBR or CSR.

The problem is, how do I reserve this and which is the better resort to stay in? Do I have to do it over the phone? because when I try to get a quote on the internet they say there are no rooms large enough for this party. I was thinking of getting two rooms, one with 2 adults and 2 children, the other with 3 adults and 2 children.

I'm also including the Dining Plan and 4 day tickets w/o hopping.

:earseek: PLEASE HELP! :earseek:

Yes, do it over the phone. The internet doesn't understand that one in your party is under 3. Two rooms at any of the resorts you've chosen will work just fine. We are a family of 5 (over 3yrs), so don't have personal experience with any of the resorts you've chosen. Things to consider, very different theming. Which appeals to you most. Also, many people love csr while others are put off by the large-ness of the resort. POFQ is very intimate, quite the opposite, but again personal preference. POFQ is convenient to DD by boat, a nice feature and young kids like their pool. Hope that helps and doesn't just leave you with more questions.

Okay, I won't be able to answer all of your questions but I can offer some opinions on a couple.

First, I stayed at CBR and we loved it because of the beach activities for the kids. I have not stayed at POFQ or CSR so cannot comment on those. Best bet is to call CRO and make your ressie because of the size of your party. Make your decision on if you plan to spend the whole day in the park, or whether you guys will be enjoying your resort. Also what kinds of activities will your party members enjoy, POFQ is very peaceful and tranquil from what I have read about it, would that suit your needs better or is location to the parks you would like to spend most of your time more important because of the kids, such as taking naps during the day, swimming,etc.... Have the other party members been to any of the resorts and what are their expectations? I hope I have given you some help.

Happy planning!!!!

Personally, I usually recommend looking to a TA for help with something like that. From my past experience, I found CM's not to be overly helpful on the phone, they want the sale and hang up, many don't like to spend 30 minutes on the phone figuring numbers for you and answering questions because it cuts into their sales quotas.

There are a few really great online Disney specialist TA's that have been mentioned on this board who will also book advanced dining reservations for your family and help with personal itinerary planning and because you have more than 8 people, you qualify for Grand Gatherings, which a TA can assist you with as well.

Try Small World Vacations, Kingdom Travel or DU.

Good luck!

:earsboy: Thanks a lot guys! :earsboy:

I just visited Small World Vacations to get a quote. I hope they can make this as smooth as possible.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of what Grand Gatherings is? Is it worth it?

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.
