I was laid off in mid February and since then have been sending out resumes regularly. So far I have had only 1 job interview.

Well, tomorrow I have a job interview. :) It is with the Federal Government. I applied for this job back in February, right after I was laid off.

Please send good wishes my direction. Thanks!

I had a federal government interview last month. It was almost 4 hours long.. just to let you know.

Best of luck. A 4 hour interview though, oh how I would crack under the pressure!!! But I think if they don't break you you get the job right? Think of it as mini boot camp and get the job!!!

Here's hoping you get the job! :thumbsup2

Good Luck to you. Keep us posted and let us know how it went.

Good luck!

I work for the federal government (just started 4 months ago) and my interview only took about 30 minutes. I think every office is different.

Cool! DH is trying to get on with them. I'm glad someone's getting somewhere, since competition is so fierce.

What agency? Where is the job?

BEST OF LUCK! :cheer2:

Good luck, I had an interview with the Fed's a couple times in the past couple of years, they were about 30 to 45 minutes. Stay positive!

Good luck to you!! :thumbsup2 I was laid off in April. There's not much out there...

Friend of mine got a government job. The time between them offering him the job and him actually starting was a year. Well, it was 359 days. He kept saying that he wished it had dragged out another week so he could say it was a year and not be lying, lol.

Took them three months to offer him the job, too.

Government is slow. Don't give up hope if you don't hear from them right away.

Good luck!

UPDATED:

The interview I went on today seemed to go well. I felt good afterwards. They said that they hope to make a decision by sometime next month. I don't want to give the name of the agency just yet.

I'll keep you posted.
