So my mom recieved a phone call today from someone who is suppose to be my cousin. His sister is having some kind of medical problems and he didn't go into much detail of it. Anyway, he called my mom to see if he could get my dad's medical history since apparently they've always suspected that my dad is actually their dad too. Here's the messed up family history I have just learned.
My dad married Lottie. Lottie was Walter's sister. Walter was married to Estelle who is Lois and David's mother. Walter and Estelle had been married for nearly 20 years without being able to have any children. My dad's wife Lottie died of cancer and Walter and Estelle had him move in with them afterwards. Apparently approximately nine months later Estelle gave birth to Lois. No one ever found out for sure if she and my dad had an affair, but people sure did talk alot. And apparently Estelle and Walter no longer got along after that. They never got a divorce and he became a pretty bad alcoholic. A few months later, Estelle became pregnant again. Walter died not too long after that. When my mom met my dad, she said that she knew that he always sent Estelle money. She had heard all the rumors and when she asked him about it she says he just told her that he felt obligated to help her out after her and her husband took him in. That's all he ever said about it.
So now Lois is sick and they suspect some kind of heart desease...which is what my dad died of. They are running test right now and she wanted to give them my dad's medical history as well. They really want to find some way to get some kind of DNA test done so they can find out for sure, but since my dad is dead they wouldn't know how that would work.
Anyway, I just feel kind of frustrated and confused. I mean, I knew I had some messed up branches in my family tree but this is just insane. Has anyone else ever had to deal with messed up family stuff like this??? I'm just wondering how I'm suppose to deal with possibly finding out that I could have another sister and a brother.
So now I'm inspired to do one of those family trees. Does anyone have one of those family tree maker programs that I've seen at the stores? Can anyone reccomend which one to get?

My dad was in the military, while he was in germany and his wife in the states, she got pregnant. When he came back from germany he divorced her, pregnant and all. I was told the judge laughed at her attempt to tell him the baby was my dad's, saying something about airmail?
