I have a hair question.

I'm trying to do the whole side ponytail thing, but I'm not sure if I did it right. I don't want to look stupid, so I need your advice. Be honest, I don't mind.

it might be difficult with such naturally curly hair but I think some bangs would look great with your straight hair. It'd be a bit more work because you'd have to deal with them everyday, but they'd look great for your face shape I think.

If you do wind up getting a haircut make sure you post a pic!!!

You should get bangs. I guess if you have days where you don't wanna deal with them you'd have to opt for a headband (that's what I do, or I pin them over, or I kind of.. roll them into my curly hair.. if that makes any sense)

Haha, I understand. I would love to get side bangs but my mom is against it. We'll see what happens later at the hair salon.

I would like to still be able to do this side ponytail thing, I'm liking the look of it. Plus the hair is out of my face.

I personally like the way straight bangs look, the only problem, is there really isn't much you can do with them when you're lazy.. the bangs aren't usually long enough to be pushed far with a headband.

True. Not with side bangs though, you can pin those back and go for a 30s/40s look.

So update, I did go get a haircut but the chick was clueless. I said, "I want sweepy side bangs." and I even showed her a picture in one of the book things.

Nope, not even close. She basically took a chuck of my hair on the side, and cute down. They don't even look remotely like what I wanted. AND THEN, I told her not to get my hair wet or it would go all springy. Did she listen? Nooooo.

"Oh, don't worry. I won't affect it."

Mhm, sure. So my hair went all curly while she was trying to cut my bangs. AND THEN (lol), she blow dried my hair (I seriously looked like I belonged in a 80's dance video) and attempted to re-straighten my hair with her crappy old icky flat iron.

The girl didn't seem like she knew what she was doing, and the whole time she had this worried look on her face.

Thank god I didn't let her do my eyebrows or she probably would've waxed both of them completely off.

What a doofus. (I'll upload some new pictures tomorrow. Agh, that was a waste of 20 bucks.)
