I have a few disney questions...

We just booked our trip for May 5th-12th and I have a few questions.
1. How closely do the guards at the front gates of the parks look in your bags? Will they say anything if we take bottled water and snacks for our 1yr old in?

2. Can you park at the contemporary hotel if you are eatting at the Concourse Steakhouse..instead of taking the hotel buses?

3. Are there ice machines at the pop centry hotel, or do you have to buy bags of ice if you bring a cooler?

4. Is there a microwave in the food court at pop centry, if we wanted to make oatmeal for our son?

1. Some look real close - some barely glance but snacks and food in your bag are no problem!

2. Yes you can park there while you dine but it will be for a limited time - meaning can't stay parked there and then go on to the park.

3. Yes to ice machines at POP.

4. Yes to microwave in food court.

I'll try my best to answer, but fellow DISers, correct me if I am wrong....
1. You can bring in water and snacks.
2. IF you are eating at the Contemporary, you can park there. You will need to tell them when your reservation if for at the gate.
3 and 4. I think I remember ice machines and a microwave at the POP.

I believe that you get 3 hours of parking when you are eating in a hotel.

There are ice machines in every building at POP. There is also a microwave at the Food Court.

The guards will check every pocket so upzip everything in your pocketbook, bag, camera case, backpack and fanny pack before you get to the guard podium so that you will be ready. Some put their hand in and move stuff around, others just glance in. It depends who you get. You can fill your bags with snacks and drinks, I think that they would discourage bringing in coolers or anything like that.

If you have a reservation at the contemporary or Poly, your name will be on a list that the guards have. They will give you a parking pass good for 3 hours that you must put i your window. They discourage parking there while you eat and then cathcing the monorail to the park.

We parked at CR to eat at chef Mickeys it was fine. I didn't know you were not suppose to bring a cooler so we brought a soft sided 6 pack cooler with drinks to every resort in December and none of the guards said anything?? Wasn't trying to break the rules I just didn't know.

We always take drinks and snacks. That is not what the security guys are looking for. They're checking for weapons and such, and none have ever said a word about our snacks.
