I have a favor to ask...

I know this may not be the right board, but all my friends are on this board and I didn't want to hijack anyone's thread...

I know that some of you know that my little man is turning 6 tomorrow.

He is also scheduled to have surgery next Friday. He is having tubes in his ears, his tonsils removed, and his adnoids removed.

His recovery is expected to be about 2 weeks, but if you know Jamie, you know that he won’t sit still that long…

I am asking some of my friends to send him get well cards or if you have kids…to send a drawing or something.

I hope I am not asking too much, I just think it will help him feel better and since he is not in school any longer, he won’t be getting any get well cards from his little friends.

Hi! My son had all of those done when he was 2 so I know how you feel. He is now seven. I will have him make a special card and send it to him. My sister is leaving next Saturday for Disney maybe I can possibly have her send a post card (if she remembers) from one of his Disney friends.

Tubes are no biggie.
Tonsils a little sore but not so bad.

Too bad we can't send a mickey ice cream bar.
So will send a card. Had it done when I was 3.

A little advice:

Give him all the hugs and symapathy for 3 days.
After that be strong and so will he.

Just my child psychology coming out. Sorry but it does work!

My Dis friends are great. I have had the pleasure of meeting some in person and hope to meet many more in the near future!! Yes, the Dis is the BEST!!!

Thank for the advice, Patty! I will be swarming him with hugs and kisses! He already gets embarrassed by them, but I am hoping that he will just eat all the attention up and let me cuddle him too...ok- I may be pushing it a bit here..

Brad...you are a meanie!!! I went shopping this weekend and bought a ton of popsicles. We have a store down the street that sells slushies, so he will be getting a ton of those too!
