....do any of you remember THIS POST?

Well, that was me. :guilty: I have to say that I was a little nervous after being a DISer for nearly 5 years of coming and telling you guys that my love for Disney is gone. :worried: Depression had NOTHING to do it and neither did burnout. I haven't been to Disney since May of 2001 and really don't want to go again. Understand this though, I still LOVE all the Disney things I have collected, ESPECIALLY Tigger and LOVE all my Disney movies! I think Disney as a whole in general IS NOT a bad company. They've done some wonderful things and I respect that, but as for the parks themselves, I'm done. :guilty:

So many of you were so very kind and had some wonderful words. I just watch the CB and every now and again a post turns ugly because someone didn't like what was said. I should have known...NO ONE was rude to me, no one called me names, and no one was insulting. MANY however, understood! So forgive me for being deceptive, not my intention at all. I am excitedly planning another trip to Stone Mountain GA for our 15th wedding anniversary and can't wait. A small part of me is thinking of going to Busch Gardens in Tampa, I've NEVER been, what do you guys think?

Again forgive me for not trusting the people on the DIS more, I'll work on that.

You guys take care and blessings to each of you!

Denise

Aww Denise, there is still a part of Disney in your Heart! There always will be! Happy Anniversary and you should go and enjoy other vacation area's! There is so much to see in this beautiful country we live in!

Denise you have every right to like what you want! I'm still at the point of wanting to move to Disney and never come back....LOL!!!!!!

Is Stone Mountain in Atlanta? If it is we went there a few years ago and its nice. The top of the mountain is gorgeous with some breathtaking views. There is also loads to do in the Atlanta area.

We've done alot of traveling in the U.S. and Disney is still my favorite but Washington D.C. is a close second and I would love to go back to California. I definately understand the want to go other places. I would love to visit New Hampshire and Vermont. I would love to visit Oregon and Washington State.

Oh and this year of course we are visiting China to bring our baby girl home. I'm terrified but after 15 Xanax maybe I'll be okay!

Wanting to take vacations other than to Disney isn't weird. The giant purple font, on the other hand...

As long as you don't start telling us we're freaky and saying, "You're going to WDW AGAIN??" then we'll all get along just fine! ;)

now I'm mad!!! I liked the purple. :badpc: ;) :teeth:

Don't worry about not wanting to go to Disney. Your so nice I'll make an exception for ya. :teeth:

Nothing wrong with that at all. Everyone has a point where they get burnt out on something they enjoy.

I find that if I come back after a bit & find a new way to enjoy a hobby my zeal for it returns pretty quick. I can't remember ever having something I enjoyed, got bored with & never returned in some form or fashion.

I know that a lot of locals tend to do the backstage tours, don't rush from ride to ride or plan trips to the other Disney destinations. This might be something you'll want to consider next time you're in the mood to visit Disney?
