Hmmmmmmmmmm . . . maybe I can give you some of my neighbor's numbers and tell them that their outside xmas lights are about ready to be shut off now . . .LOL
I love Xmas BUT after New Year's Eve I love getting my house back to normal . . .
Well . . . I just gave my last Christmas gift today!!! DS and a friend have been trying to get together since Christmas but due to conflicting school and work schedules have not had a chance to see each other. Finally, today they went pond skating and exchanged gifts! I told him if he waited a few more weeks he could give the gift to his friend for his birthday! LOL
Hey, I just took mine down last weekend. Don't feel bad, TC! I'm usually so organized about stuff like that, but this year I've been so busy that I left it up.
Of course, I had three trees up this year, and did manage to get the live one and the smaller fake one down on January 7th, but the big fake one I just couldn't get around to taking down.
I considered leaving it all done and just chucking it in the basement but I finally got off my lazy butt and took all the decorations down and packed away.
We didn't have a tree this year, but if we had one my mother would have been taking it down on New Year's Eve. She would rather take it down on 12/26 but I won't let her
One DB & SIL confessed last night that their tree is still up - I have a feeling they're taking care of it today! I hate putting the stuff up too early, but gosh, I hate taking it down!
Sue is still carrying around a Christmas present in our minivan that is awaiting delivery. I was thinking about asking her if she might just put it away and give it to her friend next Christmas.
You guys are making me feel a little better. Mine is still up. No lights or ornaments are on it. Just the angel on the top. The three tree boxes are in my living room, but DH has had to work all weekend. Guess I may have to take it down.
We took ours down last weekend. But the rest of the
decorations got put away yesterday. We celebrate
Christmas until Epiphany(that's when the "wise" men
figured out who Jesus was and gave him gifts!) also-
"the 12th day of Christmas!!!" or Jan.6th. So-I'm always
draggin out putting the decor away. It does make your
house look bare.
I still have my tree up... and the lights are on most nights. My kid sister's iguana likes to climb the tree, it's in the corner and out of my way. It's an artificial tree... but when I take it down it's going directly to the dumpster... YUCK!
