I have started dating my best friend. It happened about a week ago. He is a little more serious than I am (saying that he would like to continue seeing me for the rest of his life, etc. after I told him that I don't think I will ever remarry) but he makes me happy. I am tired of calling him my best friend on here when he and I are more than that now. Thom is dating other people as well, but I know that some of you will feel that since I'm not legally divorced yet but only separated it is wrong for me to date. If so, you definitely have a right to your opinions but please don't judge me too harshly.

No judging here. You have to do what you think is right. I hope this will make you happy:) .

I agree with everything tc said. :) (((hugs)))

PS, I married my best friend.

I certainly have no right to judge you.

I'm glad you have someone that makes you happy. :D

Honeywolf, wishing the best of luck to yourself and Roger:) :) :) .

Hey, if the DIS RIGHTEOUS CROWD gives you a hard time, just drop me a PM, and I'll "take care of things"     ...........

Thanks :) He does make me happy and he goes out of his way to do so...he treats me so much differently than Thom ever did and it shocks me when he is patient with me because I'm not used to it (for instance, if Thom was in a hurry to get to work or back to work he'd yell at me for taking too long....Roger doesn't do that, just tells me to take my time when I'm flustered or if I've lost something makes suggestions as to where I might find it.) I'm going to move slowly but I'm glad I have him.

i am definitely in no position to judge you on this one...i was with my now husband well before my divorce was final last year...

i'm a firm believer in that you have to do what will make YOU happy...i did...i left a marriage that was going nowhere to be with the love of my life and the man of my dreams. my friends and family all tell me that they have never seen me happier than i have been in the last year...i smile all the time!!

best wishes to you and don't let anyone rain on your parade!!

My parents have noticed the difference in me, too...I have mellowed a lot in the time that we have been approaching the point of seeing each other and since we actually started seeing each other. They just don't know the reason yet.

I know that some of you will feel that since I'm not legally divorced yet but only separated it is wrong for me to date.

Why would it be wrong for you to date?

You do what you need to do. I wish you happiness!

I hope that you will be very happy.

I dont think you are a bad person at all. ( not that you asked MY opinion ;) )

Gosh!!! I was actually scared to make this confession. I thought I might have to leave the board. (((Hugs))) and thank you. BTW, he has not met my children nor have I met his four kids. But, he has seen pictures as well as seeing them in person from a distance when we worked in the same place and we talk about them all the time. I'm sure that someday we'll both meet each other's children.

Rajah, how can someone who mentions that he'd like to go to Utah and Colorado someday but only with me to show him around be anything other than a winner? :)

Unless he says he never wants anything to do with Disneyworld/land and won't let you go. ;) Which, from the sounds of him, I'd be surprised.

Oh, he definitely wants to go to Disney World....he just has a hard time affording it right now, but he doesn't mind my going (except that he'll miss me.)
