I want to get a $50 gc for rainforest cafe to spend on our first night there!!I I thought this would be a nice welcome to the world!!then I got to wondering how long are these gs.good for??I mean if I was to get it now in january of 2003 would it be good in november of 2003??thanks to any and everybody!!

They should be (or at least they were about 9 months ago when we got ours for next months trip) good for 1 year from the date of Issue on the certificate. I think we received ours in late march, and it was dated that same month.

The last time I ordered a Rainforest Cafe GC through Mypoints, it arrived with an expiration date with a year from the issue date...which was good since we were not going to Disney for about 9 months then! LOL

The one I got a few weeks ago doesn't even have an expiration date on it. I'll be getting another sometime this week and I'll post again.

I ordered one in mid-December and it took about 3-3.5 weeks to arrive. There was no expiration date on it, and no information about "good for one year from date of issue." And they didn't even fill in the date of issue, so....

We used it last Friday!!! (Just got back yesterday.) Since they did away with all the AmEx discounts, they seem to have added some more discounts for Disney Vacation club members. Since we were staying as guests of my brother at the Boardwalk Villas, we got an extra 10% off the bill (15% off store merchandise). So we had dinner for two, dessert for one for $22!!! And I picked up a new sweatshirt for me and some stuff for ds.
