When we go down 12/5 we leave Toledo at 5:30 AM, get to Cinci at 6:30, and leave for ORlando at 7:05. Since it is so early in the morning, can this be done? We come in on a small flight so I'm hoping there are no deplaning crowds--however, I am also hoping our luggage gets switched OK.

Your luggage should be fine.

You should be able to do this. It sounds like you are coming in on Comair so you will have to bus over to the main terminal, but the buses run all the time.

It has been done successfully before but 35 minutes is really way way way too little time for a connection.

If your first flight is late or if it takes people seated in front of you too long to get out of the plane, or the shuttle bus doesn[;t come every four minutes or more often, you will miss your second flight.

You maay have to pay a change fee to choose alternate flights in advance with m ore connecting time, but if you actually miss the connection there is no fee to take the next available flight.

I agree a half hour is very ify. You might make it. You might not.
We changed planes once in Cincinnati. (Delta) I don't recall anything unusual and it didn't take long. But with only a half hour, I hope all goes as it should for you.
That same trip, we were flying down with friends, and all four of us were taking the last leg from Atlanta to MCO.
Their Delta flight was slightly late getting into Atlanta, and they literally were rushing onto the plane ten minutes before take off. But they were told Delta was aware of this and they seemed to think they made sure they made it before take off.
Good luck.

If you have to do this somewhere, Cincinnati is about the best place to do it. The problem is that if you're not on board 10-15 minutes before departure you may lose your seat.

There is seldom a wait for a gate at Cincinnati. If you have to change terminals, don't panic; the shuttles run very frequently. About half the time they're actually waiting for you.

That is too close for me. I like at least an hour due to late flights, weather and things.

We're in just about the same boat as you. We're arriving in St. Louis at 6:52am and our plane leaves for Orlando at 7:35, allowing less than 40 minutes. We're flying American for the first time and we've never flown out of St. Louis so I'm hoping it all goes well! Anyone know that the St. Louis airport is like?

I flew out of Cleveland on Delta tranfering in CInn. Both ways I only had 35 minutes. I was worried that I'd miss a flight, but made it with plenty of time to spare both times. Cinn is Deltas hub so they are use to passengers/luggage needing to move through it in a hurry. I think you will be fine. You may want to see if the flight attendent can give you your gate to transfer to while you are still in the air-sometimes they do this/sometimes they don't. The magazine in your seat back will probably have a map of Cinn terminal in it so you can get a good idea of where you need to go before you get off the plane.

Since we began doing the Toledo to MCO flights, we've changed planes in both ATL and CVG--CVG is not a problem getting from gate to gate with minimal time. The longest change time we've had was 45 mins AND we had time for coffee & cinnamon rolls while waiting! :)

You'll be fine in CVG provided your 5:30 a.m. flight is on time--which has never been a problem either.

Now, Hartsfield. . .that's another story! ;)
