But back on topic... I agree with the previous poster who said she saw nine-ten year old girls acting/dressing like they were seventeen.

I've noticed girls in 3rd, 4th, 5th grades wearing -excuse me- slutty looking clothes that even 17 year olds shouldn't be wearing. Also, makeup. I mean, at ten years old? I didn't start wearing makeup until eighth grade. Before that, generally, and especially in elementary school, kids don't know how to put on makeup so it's not completely crazy and way too much. Even in high school kids don't know how to wear the right amount...

When I was ten a cell phone was not something I wanted. Now every kid has a cell phone. I was 16 before I got a cell phone!

A couple months ago, I saw an 8 year old girl dressed in a mini skirt, tank top, and uggs -- while listening to her very expensive ipod.

Yeah, when I was 8 I was still playing house and 'doctors office' with my neighbor while watching Disney Channel.

Kids are growing up way too fast these days. Have you even seen the clothes in the little girls section?! OMG these little with no breasts or a butt are showing off their bodies in mini skirts and thin vnecks! It's insane! Make-up is also not necessary. Fun occasions like a day at Libbu Lu? Heck yeah! But at school it doesn't belong. iPods are too high-tech, why can't you just get the kid a Disney mixstick?

Cell phones ARE necessary for plenty of kids 10+. Please tell me, how many times have you seen a pay phone that actually works within the last 5 years? What happens when a kid is of age to do after-school activities and their bus gets delayed? Office is closed, no pay phones either. If no one has a phone they're all screwed!

Go ahead, question my parents judgement - my sister got a phone at 10. But when your father works a state over and your mom and sister are in a hospital 3 hours away for weeks at a time, you NEED a form of mobile communication.

I don't have an iPod since they're sort of expensive. I have a Disney mix stick instead. It works fine but you can only have around 50-60 songs on it.

I don't really like my iPod to be honest. It was a gift but it's annoying. I got my first mp3 for Christmas, but it was only around $100. It holds a billion and ten songs on it, it's got a radio, it's small and compact, and it's got great sound quality.
Oh, but by iPod I meant like the big fancy shmancy ones. I don't really care if a kid gets the little $50 shuffle, but that's a lot of technology to upload and download songs and stuff.

I like the mix stick cause they have like this cord you can put around your neck instead of putting your iPod in your pocket or something. Like the nanos or something? Yeah, I agree. My parents think I'd lose a shuffle. xD

i didnt get a cell phone until my freshman year, but i kind of needed it
i had no way to get home and my mom works til 5 and i had soccer practice and stuff, it was good to have
i wish i had it in 8th grade though, seeing as i had to stay after school for aobut 3 hours, again with no way home [unless i walked] and i often went out with friends so it was annoying to always have to ask to use a phone, but whatever

i actually know someone who had a cell phone in like 4th grade, and since then they have had TONS of cell phones, i just dont see the need for it. materialistic people like that who BRAG about it just bug me, because it makes all of us not so rich people feel bad and somewhat unworthy if you will

as for kids these days, they annoy me too. at 10 i was probably on neopets and riding around on a scooter. i hate how everything has become overcome by technology, almost everything is touch screen now

as far as things i hate, theres many but ill just list a few

-i hate that most celebrities these days have NO talent and are famous for their looks and actions
-i also hate that people are loosing their homes and struggling yet celebs have multiple homes and make millions of dollars for doing basically nothing
-i hate school. period.

I miss the old disney channel or old Nickelodeon where they would actually play good shows. Now disney channel is all Hannah Montana and that Jonas show. And Nickelodeon is addicted to Spongebob.

But i had sports and clubs and stuff and my cheer coach was often a flake so i would have to call for a ride home. Or the football game would run late so i'd have to let my mom know...

Pixar is still animation...jsyk and they have only done 10 disney movies when up comes out...

But I do agree the old disney style was much better but unforunatly that style and graphics is seen as obsolete pretty much

i actually do like pixars movies but the whole 3d thing creeps me out

when animation starts to actually look real, i get kinda creeped out lol
