I hate UPS

What I absolutely Hate, ABHOR actually, is when they don't list how something is shipped. I have no mail box. I've lived in my house for 22 yrs without a mailbox. I get my regular mail at my PO Box. If something is shipped UPS or FedEx, I list my physical address. No issue. However, most times there is no mention or it's just wrong. It claims it is being sent UPS but then it's actually sent UPS to the local PO and then they deliver - BUT THEY DON'T!!!!!!!!! I have had packages returned or a nasty note saying notify my senders of correct address. Duh, I tried.

Your example sounds like the SurePost thing I was talking about earlier. Since you see it's going UPS you put your house address, but if the company you order from uses a SurePost option, they can pick that and you're package will ship that way. It'll have 2 different barcodes and once UPS drops it at the Post Office, the Post Office then doesn't know what to do.. since it's not going to your PO Box but your physical address (which they don't deliver to)... So as some advice, I'd look into the way companies ship and make sure that SurePost isn't an option.

We used to have an address that was similar to 123 Tulip Hill. The next street over was Tulip Drive, and there was a 123 on it, too. UPS drivers were constantly delivering my stuff to the other house. The other house was a rental. At first, some nice Mormon missionaries lived there, and they always brought me my packages. Then they moved out and some thieves moved in, and they took my stuff. A few times the UPS driver realized what he'd done a few seconds after he did it and went back to retrieve the packages, but the people had taken the packages inside and wouldn't open the door to him.

Anyway, my point (and I do actually have one) is that I called the local UPS distribution office to complain. At first the manager said there was nothing he could do because a lot of different drivers had my route. But then he finally said he could put a note in the computer that would show up on the drivers' instructions every time my address was on their route. He made a note indicating to make sure it was Tulip Hill rather than Tulip Drive, and I always got my packages after that. But their are some crooks out there that still have an inversion table and 10 pounds of allergy-friendly chocolate chips I ordered from Amazon...

Oh, I totally blame the driver. And I intend to lodge a complaint when I pick up my package on Monday.
Set aside time. Demand the facility manager. Bring pictures of your street if possible, to prove the houses aren't the condos. No, you shouldn't have to do any of that, but it's best to be prepared.

I've already printed out a picture of our street and our house (with numbers clearly visible both on the house and the curb). And I've printed the UPS page that says they're "contacting receiver for further information". That I find amusing, since he couldn't find the house in the first place, how is he going to contact me?

UPS shipping info often includes a phone number of the recipient, and an enterprising UPS driver might try to contact you that way, but this driver doesn't sound like the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Good luck tomorrow.

Well, our phone number shouldn't be in the paperwork, it's unlisted. And he/she hasn't tried to contact us. I've been at home since the first entry time on the log of where my shipment is (6/11 10:14 am) and no phone calls. Added to that, since the driver couldn't seem to find the house to leave an "attempt to deliver" notice, if I hadn't called the main office, my package would be on it's way back to the sender before I even knew what happened.
