Buffy, take a deep breath, NY traffic on a holiday weekend has got to be the worst. Deep calming breaths, pretend you are blowing up all the cars in front of you. You will make it home at some point, drive safely and watch out for the idiots, NY drivers are some of the worst.

reddy if you even go...don't drive, take taxis, subways, bus and walk...they have trains that take you from the airports into the city or lots of shuttle/car services

Made it home a little after 11. The house smells like old house smell, it's gross.
So we are sleeping in the RV and will open the house up tomorrow and put the AC units back in.

Reddy NY isn't bad as long as you take the train or a cab. Just stay off I-95, the road is terrible from top to bottom. I hate that road.

We were doing ok until we got the the toll booth. They closed the diamond lane (HOV lane) but left the lanes open after you drive past the split for upper and lower level. Well idiots were jumping over and trying to squeeze 2-3 wide into one lane to jockey for position. Oh, DH almost go out a beat the bleep out of a bleepity bleep that tried to hit us!! Dude you are in a small sedan, I am in a 30 foot tank, you really want to take me on?!?!?

If you want to go from parts west to anywhere in New England take 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you got home okay- I remeber trips on the GW bridge- we used to go up to my grandparents at least once a month when we lived in NYC as a child and aslways got up so early to get across before traffic got bad on Monday mornings.

Still haven't gotten my car fixed. The idiot that hit us refuses to speak to his insurance co, He's a lawyer so apparently knows about this kind of stuff. If he doesn't talk to them they won't pay the claim. So, I have to pay my deductible and get my insurance co to pay for the damage. Then they have to go after the other insurance co. I'm soooooo livid!

are you kidding me...sorry about that, thank goodness you guys did the police report and they sited him for the accident. it will take time, but your ins is going to want their $$ back so you will get your's back eventually, just sucks you have to pay is oop first.
