I HATE the search function!

Does the search function on these boards work at all? I used to be able to search for my user name and find all my posts so I could watch the threads that I posted on. Am I doing something wrong?

no, you're not doing anything wrong. It doesn't work that way anymore but we are working up a really good protest to get it put back You have to give up your favorite smilie

Last night, I thought it had started working, but it still just gave the posts that the user started, not all that they'd posted on. But even *that* isn't working today.

You can go to your userCP and it lists all threads on which you've posted.

I hate it... I was on a thread and I knew I "knew" the other poster from one of the thread I usually hang out on but I wasn't sure which one so I tried to see the last posts they had made and it wouldn't work either it said no search available or something like that.....

I definitely miss it too. I can't find the threads I posted on so I can't respond to any comments made to me! Is there another way?

When I do a search under my user name some other Amy comes up. Can't get the User CP thing to work either. I hate it too! I really miss tracking my posts.

Click on User CP. That will allow you to see which threads have been responded to (ones you responded to or subscribed to) since the last time you checked the CP and/or logged on.

I can see where I can view subscribed to threads, but not where I can view non-subscribed to threads. where is it and what exactly does it say?

The search isn't working because they aren't feeding the koalas enough eculyptus leaves.

I think any time you post to a thread, you are automatically subscribing to that thread. So, you should be able to go to User CP and list subscriptions and all the threads you have subscribed to and posted to will pop up.

I've also been having some issues with the search function today and it won't even show the threads I started. I assume it's just having technical difficulties.

Then someone posts "Why don't yopu use the search function instead of posting this question, we just discussed it recently."
