I hit a car when out on my run tonight.
I was running, and crossing the street. Now, tonight was a fairly uptempo run, so while I wasn't at a full out sprint, I was moving considerably faster than the average pedestrian. She sees me enter the crosswalk, and decides that she can make the left turn before I actually get through the intersection.
Well, she was right, but only because I slammed on the brakes. That way, instead of slamming into her hood, I smacked my hand against a rear quarter panel. I shouted "Yield" and she kept driving on her merry way.
This wouldn't bother me much, but it seems to happen at least a couple of times per month. And that's far too often.
