We have gotten about 8 inches since around 11. I am sick of shoveling, got stuck 3 times coming home from work, and my gloves are wet.

Thank you for letting me get that out.

 Our temp was 84 today. Would you like me to send you some sunshine and warm weather? If you'd like to send us some cooler weather that would work too.

I swear after this winter I will never lift a shovel full of snow again. That is what I keep telling DH at least :lmao:

We have had several mild winters. He goes away, we buy a house, and WHAM snow and lots of it!

I feel your pain.
This was a friends Facebook status today, it made me chuckle, perhaps it will do the same for you.

Dear Snow:
Underneath this mitten, I'm giving you the finger!

I like snow. I am not a skiier or anything, but I like it, but I have had enough this year. We got about a foot and a half today. And our snowblower is broken. Thankfully DD16 was looking to make some money and they had no school this week so she did the whole thing.

I hate snow too! We're in the snow/rain/slush/sleet/ice band on the weather map, and it's nasty out. I had to shovel that heavy slushy mix that kills your back, and then it turned to rain. It will all freeze over tonight too, swell.

I did that mitten thing once, driving down a busy street - some guy cut me off, I honked my horn, he gave me the finger, I gave it back to him, but I was wearing my mittens. He must have thought I was nuts, as I was laughing so hard afterwards. It was the first time I had ever attempted to be so coarse, and it was a complete fail! :lmao:

I am another Mainer ready for spring to spring up here......SNOW is a mess and we were just getting the roof cleared off from the last three storms.....but this one was a humdinger....

Our snowblower was in the shop for three weeks......at least it is back for this one ..

We got socked again today too. We had to drive about 1/2 hour away for an appointment and parts of the thruway were shut down. I was praying out loud in the car for God to spare our lives, that's how bad it was.

Yeah. I'm ready for Spring.

If you live in Rochester...you better love snow or you are going to be one severely depressed individual.

We got about 10 inches here today...helped motivate me to continue packing boxes for my upcoming move to North Carolina.

People who live in snow country are going to find this hilarious!

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. The last time we had snow here was February 5, 1976. Right now, we're having a cold snap and a rain storm is coming. The weather forecasters have been saying for the past few days that it may actually snow as low as sea level between late tonight and tomorrow morning. The news stations are all leading with the story. All the graphics say: Snow Watch 2011! The funny part is that no one is predicting that the snow will even stick. We're talking flurries, maybe...if it gets cold enough...and the storm comes at the right time...and the planets are in alignment...and you see a pig fly by!

I'm not holding my breath that it will actually snow. And I'm not setting my alarm for 4:00 a.m. when the coldest temperatures are being forecast. I can't believe that we're such weather wimps that a few snow flurries cause so much commotion when the rest of the country has been digging out from under it all winter!

I grew up in San Jose, I remember that "snow" it flurried and dusted with some minor accumulations. We went into the foothhills near Mt. Hamilton to find accumulations we could actually play in. It was the most amazing thing! I remember being in school and our teachers letting us go ourside to catch a flake on our tongues.

Now, the thought of snowy icy very steep San Francisco streets is down right terrifying! :scared1:

Just saw on the news you did indeed get those flurries!

I'm sick of snow too. I know it's Maine, it snows blah blah blah..... this year has been the worst!

You are right there. Had I posted this same thing a few months ago it would have read "I love snow" but like I said, I'm over it. And I think this is the first year I have been this way. It has just been a cold winter. I actually packed up all my snowmen last week and I never do that till the end of March.

It is so beautiful today, and the kids love playing in it. I do love it.

By March I am sick of the bitter cold and shoveling snow & looking for flowers & scampering critters. By August I am sick of the heat, humidity and dealing with the lawn & waiting to smell burning leaves and do Halloween.

All I know is if it wasn't for the snow I wouldn't be nearly as giddy for Spring Fever:goodvibes Hang in there, it's almost here:thumbsup2

This time last week I was wearing shorts and flip-flops. OK, I was rushing the season a little, but I am so sick and tired of winter I could scream... Today I had to wear coat and gloves and drive slowly because of all the ice and snow on the roads. Will this winter ever end.

A little snow here would be nice. We've had one of the driest winters on record, but colder temps than what we are used to. It is warming up though and has been in the low 60s.

We did get an inch of snow in early Feb followed by below zero temps which closed the schools down for 4 days!

We are supposed to have a system come through tomorrow. We'll see. It was supposed to snow a couple of weeks ago, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky the day the storm was supposed to hit. Not even one cloud.

So if it's not going to snow, it might as well warm up already.

LOL, I heard that one church had changed their sign to read "Whoever is praying for snow, PLEASE STOP!"

HaHaHa, that reminds me of years ago. I was in charge of the Winter Festival for DD16's preschool. It was a church preschool. While I had back ups, the day was based on having snow. I told everyone to please pray for snow. Well, everyone must have. It was a record setting snowfall. The morning of the event the park where the lodge where we were holding it called to tell me they didn't thin kit would be plowed out in time and they had no power (and no heat!) Well, I said we'd be OK without power and they said they would start a fire. They did plow so we could get there, it was pleanty warm with the fire and all the people, but all day people kept making jokes to me about "praying for snow." :lmao:
