I hate my school board.

Last year there was like 2 feet of snow, and they made us go to school.


Today, it's NOT EVEN SNOWING and they cancel school.

They cancel school on the one day for christmas parties and for airband that we practiced for 2 months. Now we can't do airband cause its themed around christmas and won't make sense after the holidays.

If it makes u feel better, i never get snow days EVER. It doesnt snow in sydney.

I don't like ours either.

Supposably ours is trying to take money from academics and activities and putting it towards sports. -_-
We hardly had any money to begin with, and now they're taking the rest of it away.

It's not snowing here and I have a snow day too.
It's because last year there was a wicked bad snow storm and we got dismissed about an hour early but the snow was so bad all the buses got backed up because the streets weren't cleared yet.
So once the high school buses are late then the junior high buses still have to pick up those kids. And after the junior high's then the buses still have to pick up the elementary school kids.
Some kids didn't get home until midnight aparently.
So the state didn't want that happening again so they just canceled school.

I remember that in HS. if there was a forcast for a big storm school would be cancelled. That SUCKS that its on the last day before break--that was always the best day!!

It MUST be snowing in the Hammer (hahah-best nickname for a city ever btw) by now though it's coming down like CRAZY in B-Town!!

Ahhh....school boards. How I hate thee. Mine is awful. Specifically Carl Nelson. He's the one who decided whether we have school or not.

A few days ago, we had school. And we shouldn't have. There was about 3 inches of snow on the ground at 6:30am. And the plows hadn't even gone out yet. The roads were nowhere near cleared and driving sucked. Some busses were an hour late.

But we had school.

Yet he also cancels on days when it's fine. So much so, in fact, that a local columnist in the paper has dubbed him "Cancellation Carl".

i wish we did.
anyways... we didnt have school today(i assume , because i didnt even check the TV and i just woke up at 11.) but we have about 14 inches of snow.

Haha, I stayed home today because I'd wanted to even before I heard of the snow. I hate last-day-before-the-break party days at school.

But now it's snowing like crazy out there, and my goofball of a sister went to school and my mom's all upset because she doesn't know if my sister can get home!
