I hate my credit card company

for once, i'm actually truly right and they refuse to do anything to fix my situation. i'm more sad about my credit rating now than angry at them.

I HATE CREDIT CARDS!!!
 
They can't refuse if you can demonstrate that you are right. They must fix the problem. Good luck to you!
 
It seems as though you should be able to prove your point. If not, maybe contact the Better Business Bureau. Good luck
 

maybe if yuo cook them somthing they will lossen up, or get real sick
 
Oh! One of mine ticked me off majorly this week. I called them and cancelled the card. Ha! Loved the sound of her voice when I told her that one. Then she was searching for a reason to put in. How about...because you guys are complete idiots!! :teeth: :blush: We settled on something about their policies. Ha!
 
I had one card that if the bill was doe July 1st and payment made it July 2nd, I was hit with the late charge. But they would put the payment on the statement so it wasn't applied to the next month. The CS agent had the nerve to tell me "I see you live 1 mile from the branch there is no reason for your payment not to make the due date" WHAT I paid off the card and haven't used it since, they keep sending me those little checks in the mail to pay off my other cards or make purchases.

My CC company is wonderful! They called ME to ask about some unusual charges; someone had stolen my number (NOT the card) and made fake cards. They went on a shopping spree in California, at the same time I was making a charge in Florida.

The company cleared the problem up immediately; I wouldn't have noticed until my next bill.
 
Tell them that your are going to contact your State's Attorney General's Office. If they don't fix the problem then call your AG and see what advice that they can give you. The number is in your phone book in your State's special color coded section. The interns at AG's offices can be very helpful.

I apologize if I missed the original post, but what are the issues, i.e., did they not credit a payment on time or do they refuse to take out a disputed charge, or what?

Best wishes to get it straightened out - screwed up credit can make life tough.
 
Also, you are entitled to place a statement in your credit history that explains the situation, which could help your credit rating.
 
I have 2 cards that I have serious issues with. One is a major east coast bank. even If I make my payment at the branch it may take up to 5 days to post (never was given an explaination for that one) My other issue was with a card that in November I paid my entire balance off (over $1,000.00!) In december I charged a $25.00 item for Christmas. Sent in the payment when the payment was due. It posted 1 day late. They lowered my credit limit to $103.00! yep 103...not 100.00, not 105.00....but 103! before that it was $2,000.00! I think I got lowered because I paid it off and wasn't going to be giving them outrageous interest every month. Calling them did absolutely no good so it is now closed. Plus what can you do with a whole $103.00?
 
Make sure you understand your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Click this LINK for some helpful information, including an example letter to send to the credit card company to dispute your balance. Hope this helps.
 
I was in dispute with one of my credit card companies. Someone made a fradulant charge on it in ANOTHER country. I was in pocession of my card at all times and in fact had not used it for some time. And because I had not used it, I was not watching the account closely. By the time I caught it my payment was already overdue. I put the credit card company on notice that it was a fradulant charge. It closed my account and opened a new one. Yet the charge still stayed there in an undisputed state for another month (which means late fees, finance fees etc were adding up). I was on the phone fighting with them just about every day. They started calling my house asking for payment and I would go through the whole story AGAIN. One agent told me I should just make a payment on it. UH NO. I didn't make the charge, I went through the proper channels to dispute it, my account was closed for my protection, I wasn't making this up. I FINALLY got it all straightened out, all the charges reversed, etc. But what a pain.
