So I am currently covered in 12, that's right, 12 mosquito bites that are itching like CRAZYYY!!

I'm allergic to them, so they always turn into big welts, so I'm taking Benadryl, but that doesn't stop the itching. I've tried rubbing alcohol, hydrocortizone cream, AND Benadryl anti-itch cream (mostly used for poison ivy) and it's still super itchy.

I was wondering if anyone has any other at-home remedies for mosquito bites?

We have this thing called a Skeeter Stik and it's always worked on my misquito bites. You take the lid off and press it to the bite, and it covers it with a thin layer of the liquid, I think it automatically takes the itch away and our whole family likes it.

That's the only thing I can think of, I hate them too.

Where do you buy it?

You can probably get that at walmart or a pharmacy. I've used it before. Its mostly alcohol based and it BURNED when I used it but it totally stopped the itching.

Alright, sweet. I'll look for it tomorrow. Thanks!!

I always used clear nail polish on my bug bites. It seemed to work and as long as I didn't brush against it too much, it wasn't itchy.

have you tried calamine lotion? its supposed to stop itching.

i put bandaids over bites when i get them because you can't scratch through them.

I've never tried clear nail polish...is it safe though? All the chemicals in the nail polish on the skin?

No, I haven't tried calamine lotion. I'll see if I can find any in the med cabinet.

My bites have turned so ugly! I've been taking Benadryl and using Benadryl cream. It's the only thing that's working. Thankfully they are going away now, but they are so red, blotchy, and big right now. It's hideous. I look diseased..haha

I'm like a mosquito magnent, no joke. I have about 10 bites on my legs from standing in my backyard for 2 minutes.
Anyways, the only thing that works for me is icing them.

I feel your pain!! It sucks having sweet blood..lol

Twelve? Really?
Yup. I'm not lying. I had 12 bites on me. That's pretty much normal for this time in the summer.

My sister is up to around 30. I've got a good 10. It sucks, because they're all over. :x

30?! Oucchh!
I only get them on my legs. I will randomly get one or two on my arms, but that's it.

ok. a used teabag will probably work. im not sure about any meds for you to take im allergic to all of them. o and once u take the teabag of dry it well and put a band aid on because it might still itch a bit. but not nearly as much and some of the bump will go down
:thumbsup2
