As I have said in prior threads on this topic, I don't care one whit what someone wants to carry around the parks with them. Heck, they can pack up their entire desktop computer, keypad and printer and carry it around the parks for all I care.
But the very minute they hoist it up above their head and block my view, I care. (I also care when they hoist their kid up on their shoulders at the last minute.) It's rude and considers only what benefits them. I have seen this more and more and school functions (talent shows, awards assemblies and such). I'm amazed at just how many people sit behind them and just take it. I would be tapping them on the shoulder and reminding them that there are indeed people behind them who want to see too.
I was surprised when I called my local arena last week to check out their camera policy. They actually specified no tablet devices over 7" and that it can't be discracting to other guests. That's a start I guess.
