(Day 2 Saturday 11-20-10 afternoon)
After the girls became Princesses and we did several rides and had a late morning snack, Matt’s Parents arrived to meet up w/ us at the Magic Kingdom. It was now time for our lunch ADR at
CRT…so let’s see if it is all that it’s cracked up to be….
The check-in line was a bit harrying…not quite a line and a bit unorganized at that…plus a family trying to do a walk up…seriously?
Once to the podium, got us checked in and thought we’d have a bit of a wait but then was given a “royal pass” and got straight in. We next waited in a short line to have a meet and greet w/
Cinderella herself. I snapped a few pictures while waiting in line:
And then it was our turn, because of our party size we got two poses. We did a family shot
And just one w/ the girls
Cinderella was very nice and took a quick moment to hug each girl and wish a Happy Birthday to Naomi-Ruth.
Next we ascended the royal staircase upstairs to the great hall-dinning room:
We were seated straight away and got situated w/ ordering drinks and the chef was out promptly to discuss NR food options. If I recall correctly Nathan was a bit squirmy and getting agitated before we even arrived at CRT…so that took a bit of effort to chill him down and get him to sit correctly in the bench w/out flopping all over the place. He managed to pull it together and had a nice lunch.
The room was quite nice and very castle like...you really can feel like part of a fairy tale in here. I especially liked all the banners/crest hanging up.
The kids were each given Wishing stars (which they do a little cermeony of sorts w/) and either wands or swords).
I have read everything is RUSHED at CRT…and I agree in part. We didn’t have the most fun CM for a waiter…he basically did his job…nothing extra and no major pomp and circumstance in singing to NR for her b-day either (she did get an extra scoop of chocolate tofutti ice cream w/ a candle though).
The food was good…not great, but nice, nothing to complain about. Semi quickly served and they did accommodate NR quite nicely (especially her dessert) and brought out plain noodles for the older children too.
Overall the lunch was well done and paced quite nicely for us. I saw many people coming and going…so this is a well ironed ship. Here are several pictures from our meal:
(I took some pix of the food itself too…but I’ll post that later)
We had the classic
Princesses greeting us. Each one was dramatically announced by first telling a little of their story. We met
Snow White,
Aurora,
Belle and
Ariel. We enjoyed taking pictures and having several of them sign our autograph pages. Many commented how they liked their pages and I can’t remember who now, but the little sayings I had written on the bottom of each page…One was like “I did say that!” it was cute.
Taking pictures in the castle was difficult w/ our little point and shoot camera w/ all the sunshine coming in the windows though.
A few of the Princess were a bit rushed, but Belle and Ariel visited w/ us a bit longer. Here are a few pictures:

(you can see which Princesses Nathan likes)
Would I dine here again…not necessarily, but if the girls ever wanted to again you bet! It’s definitely something one should try at least once.
