Sailing 9/11/04 and have posted a couple of threads for that date with no one responding so I guess we'll have the pool all to ourselves anyway!

It is still pretty far out right now. We are on the 9/18/04 and a thread was started for our cruise with a few responses, but it has quieted down now.

Wait a few months, I am sure there will be more DIS members ready to post as the cruise gets closer.

I checked on the cruise list and there are 2 other families boooked with you.

If you'd like you can take our family, I mean for free I'd even cancel my 8/28/04 cruise and wait an extra 2 weeks to sail. LOL

mjasp- Not sure there is enough extra $ in the budget to take you along!

We usually sail in July, when it's normally full, but moved to Sept. for the next one because the summer months just got WAY too expensive!
So I don't mind if we have the ship to ourselves, I'd just like to find a friend for my daughter!

We sail every September (for the past 4 years) and there are plenty of kids on board (although, I must admit it seems like more younger kids than the older ones).

Hey, on our cruise (9/18/04) we have talked friends into going with us and there will be 1 girl age 13, 3 girls age 11, and 1 boy age 10 joining our party. So you could always move to our cruise!

Honestly though, there are always kids, the ship is always full. There are kids in all the age groups, but the younger ones do out number the older ones (guess it it easier to take kids out of school when they are younger).

All the kids in our party are homeschoolers, so they don't have to worry about missing school. We are working on another family trying to get them to join us too. The prices really are much better in September, we wouldn't be able to sail in the summer at the peak prices.

No more summer cruising for us, that's for sure! I hate to take my daughter out of school but just can't do it any other way!
Last time she found a friend on this board a year before our cruise and was hoping to do the same thing!
I know she'll have a wonderful time either way!
