I have been looking for part-time jobs...to help with finances and also to just get me "out in the real world" after not working for over 7 years.
A friend of mine from DD's dance class heard that a friend of hers that owns a machine shop was looking for someone to answer phones and do office stuff. The hours are 9-3 which is perfect for me. And either 2-3 days a week.
I went to the shop today and took the job!! They are extremely flexible...which I need, with 2 kids in school. The owner even said..."your family comes first" and "if your kids are ever sick or you need to be somewhere with them...just let us know"
It is just a small shop and the owners daughter works in the office part time too....I will more or less be "job sharing" with her. It sound absolutely perfect. I asked about the hours and they are even flexible on that....saying "whenever you can make it in...9 or 10"
DH for some reason isn't too thrilled. Eventhough he has been bugging me to get a job ever since Madison started school full time (1st grade).
I don't think I could ever find a job that would be that "flexible" with me. Sometimes I think he just doesn't want me associating with new people etc......
Anyway....I am happy...and I start this Thursday!!!!!!!!!
