I've been to Disneyland many times but have never really been interested in riding the canoes. I listened to Wayne describe the ride on the podcast. He was so passionate about the ride that I decided on my trip last week that I couldn't miss it. My wife and I got in line for the canoes and I immediately recognized the voice of the man in line in front of us. It was Wayne! I was positive it was him! I told my wife and she said to say something to him. I of course didn't but I figured I would while on the ride. Suddenly we were put ahead of Wayne because the amount of people per canoe wouldn't allow his whole party. We rode the canoes and it was a great experience. It was awesome to see the river from this new perspective. We docked and I decided I had to linger around to thank Wayne personally for getting me to check out a ride I'd never thought to get on before. It was a great experience, and it made my day. Thanks Wayne.

Hi there!

That was so awsome from my perspective. I was with some friends that day (Jeff and Stacy from NY) and they had also heard my piece on the Explorer Canoes. We all decided we had to ride and headed over to get in line. I am always amazed at how people who sort of know each other can come from miles away and wind up standing right next to each other. Imagine the odds of randomly meeting a podcaster at the very attraction their story was about. It's staggering!

Anyway, after the ride you flaged me down and mentioned that you recognized my voice. That is amazing that out of all the people in Disneyland that day, and out of all the sounds that were around us, you managed to recognize me. So cool! It's also amazing that we both were on the same canoe for the same reason.

Thanks for stopping me. It's so great when folks listen to the shows, but even better when I get to meet them. Now, I think we both have great stories about the canoes!

When we return home from our DL trips we always write down the rides/attractions that we didnt have time to do. The Explorer Canoes always seem to be at the top of the list.
I made it a priority on our last trip and we all had a great time. The perspective you get from the canoes is awesome. I now wish we would have made the time for this ride on our previous trips.
