I got the Sleigh Ride!!!

I got thru right away this morning (7:00 AM) I am so excited!!! This is going to be one special Disney Trip!!!!

Congratulation! Which day did you get? DH, DD5 and myself are going 12/18 at 5:30pm then PS at Whispering Canyon Cafe at 6:40pm.

I got it for the 29th at 9:00 PM. That way, we can have a leisurely dinner and do others things before heading over to WL. I'm driving, so the transportation won't be an issue.

I got my sleigh ride for Dec 6th at 8:30. Just curious Tuffcookie, did you think you had to wait for 60 days out? They started taking the ressies at 90 days. Many people don't know that and they miss out if they don't book now.

We're trying the Sleigh Ride for the first time - its a surprise for my DD and I can't wait to see her face!!! We'll have dinner at Artist Point after!

It is a horse-drawn sleigh ride (even though it has wheels) throughout the Wilderness Lodge property. It runs during part of November and December. The ride last a half hour and leave the WL Port Cache. The rides are scheduled on the half hour from 5:30pm - 10:00pm. It is $30 plus tip per ride NOT per person.

To reserve call 407-WDW-PLAY. They will want a credit card number to hold the reservation.

We are going at 8pm on 12/18 and having dinner at Whispering Canyon at 6:20! We cannot wait. We have never done the sleigh ride before. I was also able to switch our whole trip over to WL yesterday. It started out as 11 nights at BC, then the first 3 at WL, then FINALLY all the nights at WL. That will be a first for us as well!!!!

I'm staying at WL, and saw the bit about the sleigh ride. I thought "Oh great, that's something we can do on one of our non-park days if we are looking to fill the time..." NOT, I guess. Do they book up really quickly?

How many people can do this? There is a total of 5 in my family.

I called today and the only day I could get a sleigh ride booked was on the 20th! My first choice was the 18th or 19th. The only times left were like 10 pm on the 18th and nothing on the 19th! So, yes, it is filling up quickly! I was surprised - I almost did not call today (and I was on hold for over 30 mins too) glad I did and now we are set! I am very excited as I know this will be a thrill for my ds!!

Suzzane- Hopefully we will get to meet. I have boy/girl twins who will be 11 at the time, and my DH looks a little like Bruce Willis. People have stopped him before asking if it is him. I however look nothing like Demi Moore, or whoever his current woman is!
