I GOT SO LUCKY!

We made our reservations in January to stay at the All Star music resort for the week of March 19th - 25th and at the time we had just sold our camper a few months before. A couple of weeks ago we bought a pop up camper and the first thing that came to mind was to switch to the Fort but what are the odds of a site becoming available the week of Easter and only 17 days before we leave? After constantly searching day after day multiple times a day a premium site came open! We modified our reservation today to the Fort! we had to pay a $65.00 modification fee because we are so close to our check in date, but it was well worth it! So anyone who thinks this cant happen keep trying! Now the only problem is getting a golf cart reservation! Oh well, I would rather walk than stay at the All Stars! Nothing against the All Star resorts but the Fort is home!

I put my old popup in a Premium site (400 loop) a couple trips back and boy there was still LOTS of open concrete available. You will have plenty of room to spread out.

We will be in a Preferred site hopefully arriving the same day you are. See you around the Fort.

In 2012 we bought our 1st camper and it was a popup. We stayed at the Fort in the 1500 loop and loved it! The wife decided she wanted a bathroom so we sold our popup and bought a 21 ft travel trailer. We soon discovered we did not even use the bathroom. Because the beds were inside and did not slide out the popup was actually bigger! So we ditched the travel trailer and bought a 1997 Rockwood freedom. So glad to be back in our popup camper! I know its not for everyone but we love that it is easy to pull with our Jeep Commander and it does not get 10 miles per gallon pulling it! I wish we were in a preferred site (100 loop) or the 1500 loop but all that was available was the premium. I hope we do not feel overwhelmed with all the big rigs but I have met all kinds of campers and never met one we did not like! I think we are going to request loop 1200 or 1300. Any advice on which loop is better? Look forward to talking with yall in the next couple of weeks!

Congratulations on your new pup and getting ressies at the Fort! We went from a pop up to a 33' fifth wheel and are now in a 40' fifth wheel. We'll only camp in a Premium site due to our size, but would welcome anyone who's friendly enough camping next to us, regardless of what they camp in

(I think most of us in big rigs started small and have very fond memories of pop ups and the like.)

We originally went looking for a bunkhouse but ended up getting a hybrid for this reason. Our trailer is only 24' feet but we have three queen sized tent end beds, plus the sofa and the dinette. Even though our trailer is only 24' feet we have tons of floor space, a full kitchen and a full bath (that we rarely use). Plus I like feeling like we are sleeping outside. It's the perfect meld of a pop-up and a trailer but we can still access to living spaces when it's folded up which is nice and makes packing a cinch.
