I actually received my 2nd postcard in the last 3 weeks for discounts to Deluxe resorts (approx. 30% off). This second one was sent to my work address, and had a different pin # on it.

I dont understand why I was picked, let alone picked twice. I wish I could give away to someone else because I really dont need two, but apparently these are linked to my name and address so its not possible to transfer,

Hoping you get lucky

If I send you a dollar, will you buy me a lotto ticket?!

my son in law ( who lives with us) just got one today for Mod. for $79.00( nontransferable of course since it is for the *exact* time we will be there UGGGG) which is the same rate I would have gotten with the winter dream...he has not been to WDW for 8 years, has never stayed in a Mod. and is not registered on any disney sites....maybe we postcardless people are going about this all wrong..ignore them and it will come...

Jann,
Maybe you could make reservations in the names of your son-in-law and put yourself on the reservation as a member of the group. Then you could check in yourself. I can't imagine it would be an issue since he lives with you. If my adult daughter got one and lived at home, I would consider it "ours".

I would love one for the value resorts. We want to stay at Pop Century in January.

Got a postcard today for $109.00 Deluxe it is only good for 1/1-2/11 . I have never seen one of the postcards with such a short span .
I still dont know why I get them I have never used one . They do not seem to be good when I am going or I have already paid .

Wishing everyone LUCK getting one
Mishell

I also got a post card today. It was for $109 for deluxe good 1/1-2/11/04. We did just stay at a deluxe (WL) this July.

I kind of wondered about that myself ( heehee) but I want to use an AP rate anyway and now would have to make new ressies, etc, so hopefully the AP rates will be out then I 'll be fine the way I am. if they do not come out I may in a last ditch effort try it. I wonder if you just need the numbers or need the actual card at check in but I am guessing they are linked to the name somehow and so don't know how or if it would work. I got one a few years ago but like most other posters not at the right time so never used it. I just wonder how in the world they figure out who gets these..I think he got one a little while ago also so maybe he has "influential" friends hidden some where!

109 for a deluxe! And those are my dates! Boy - would I just flip if I got a post card. But congrats to all of you that did!

I think I am going to have to quit reading these posts...I booked a moderate for those dates for more than that.....Could the postcard fairy please visit me? My luck isn't the best. Not only did I NOT get a very good deal for resort-only ressies, I was charged 2004 rates for the UPH pass...I e-mailed CR about it, and got some canned response about how the pass will be used during blah blah blah time frame, so that's how the price is determined. I had called several times without making ressies, then finally booked. Probably should have waited. Oh well........
