I got my lime green Mickey heads! Now what?

A nice stack of alien green mickey heads found their way into my purse yesterday. Now what? I know they are used to decorate hotel room doors and windows. Is there anything else DISers use them for?

It was quite funny in the store, actually not at the time, but it is now. My son(5) was full of ?'s. "Mommy, are they stickers?" "Mommy are we going to pay for those now?" "Mommy, why are you taking sooo many?" and "Well what are you going to do with them?" Then we get home and he tells Daddy, "Mommy took a bunch of stuff from that orange store." To which I replyed "They are for WDW and they are paint samples so they are free." DH was like "I don't think that many are free at a time."

We're putting a new floor in DD's room so I went to Home Depot to look at carpet samples. I was so focused on getting my Mickeys that I actually forgot to look at carpet! I got a bunch too. I plan on putting them in the resort window, truck window, and backpack. If you're @ ASMu Sept. 15-21, stop in and say "Hi"!

I found mine @ Home Depot. They are paint color samples.

You might want to also think about laminating it as well. I recently got my first LGMH a few weeks ago. DH found the wallet size laminating sheets at Walmart when we were on vacation last week. I peeled off the Mickey head carefully and laminated it. Afterwards, I punched a hole in it so I could attach it to my hip pouch when we went to Six Flags Great Escape. Another DISer was going and we hoped to run into each other. Turned out she went a day after we did.

In hindsight, however, I should have grabbed two so that it would show on both sides of the laminate.

You can also put your DISboard user name on the LGMH prior to laminating if you want.

how big are the paint samples???

They're not that big. It's a square card with the sample of the paint on a Mickey Head. Stop in at HD and go to the Disney paint section to find it. The color you are looking for is Alien Green. The Patchogue store had plenty earlier this month. So I'm assuming that other stores near you should have plenty available.

Hi , we have about 8 LGMH going with us. One on everyone and the rest in the window. We'll be at AS SP aug.26th - 03rd sept. Stop and say hi.

This time tomorrow we will be driving and listening to Orange Barrels on the Bob and Tom CD. It will take us about 26 hrs. with a short stay at a So. Georgia wayside.

ok... so can I assume the Lime Green Mickey Head is the "offical" Dismember lmao: I said dismember like the dismembered mickey head) logo? I also assume we use the the different paint tags to make signs, luggage tags, backpack tags, etc. Didn't know if there was list of things to do with them. I looked around and found a disney cruise thread (btw I had to look up DCL in the abbreviation list cuz it was bugging me) but haven't found a general use thread.

I definitely gotta get me some of these.

As for what to do... What about wearing Mickey ears and taping a LGMH to the back of each ear. Then you'd be able to display your love of the Mouse and your DIS pride at the same time!

I got about 10 LGMH
I too plan to laminate them and put my DIS screen name on them.
Put some in the car windows.... some on whatever we have with us. a few on my door... are we able to decorate windows at the Value Resorts?

I wish they had LGMH in those little decorative things for croc's you know the Jisbets I think they are called. I might have totally scrapped that name...

we have about 29 days to go... the excitement is growing.

i plan to hit my HD tomorrow to see about getting a few of these. Here are some ideas for using them:

Write your names and contact information on them lamenate and then hole punch to make a necklace for your children in case they get "lost".
use as luggage tags
Stroller tags
Decorate your car windows
Hotel room decorations
have characters sign them and use them to decorate scrap book pages
