If it helps, I used the automated system from a landline.

doesn't matter....the call system doesn't care if it's a landline or cell (but, oddly, it WAS my landline that I used as well).

I understand frustration...but it's NOT a terrible system...it is just extremely overwhelmed and you cannot hire 300 people just to answer the phones for a few hours one day. Sorry.

HAPPY DANCE! Got a reservation for opening night, Nov 19th at 5:30 PM.

The funny part of this story is that I got my husband on the task too. I have been talking about this reservation for weeks. All weekend I prepped him with, "OK this is SERIOUS! You are going to be on your phone calling at the same time I am going to be on mine, and we both are going to try" And I wrote him out step-by-step instructions. He was making fun of me all last night about it. And in my head I was thinking. "what a disaster. Thank God I have it all figured out"

So this morning, I was all ready,called the line from home at 6:55 and he called from his work. I kept getting the busy signal. I called 60 times in a ROW! I was starting to panic And he texts me and goes, "Do I still have to keep calling?" And I was all, "YES!!!" And he wrote back, "Even though I already got the reservation for the exact date and time you instructed me??"....and this was at 7:05 mind you!

Talk about humbling a Dis'er....LOL, It only took him 5 min to get opening night dinner reservation when I had not even gotten past the busy signal!

But I have been spending the last hour like a giddy little school girl. My dream reservation. I keep telling my husband "You are my HERO!! You saved the day! LOL"

I have been dreaming of this trip, my first trip to Disney World for 3 years, and Beauty and the Beast is my fiavorite Disney film. This is like a dream come true and the perfect cherry on an already perfect trip!!

I am so glad I asked my TA to reserve it for me. This is one of the reasons I use a TA. I did try to call in too to see if I could get through quicker than her and was on hold for 20 minutes when I received an email from my TA saying she had mine reserved. I asked her how many she had to do today and said she had 15 reservations for 15 different families to reserve and was able to get them all

I just joined DIS so I'm a newbie. After trying for 40 minutes I finally got through and got my reservations for Feb 4th. Don't give up!! I then made a mistake with the automated attendant and got put on hold, so I decided calling on another line we have and it worked within 12 minutes or so. All booked and through the automated attendant. Thanks for the Pixie Dust everyone!! I'll pass some Pixie Dust along to those that are still having problems getting through. All the best and Don't Give Up!!

30 minutes on hold....

I dialed at 6:59am. I wish I could do it online today instead of waiting for Wednesday to do it online.

First time calling it was a 15 minute wait and was on hold for 30 minutes. Second time calling at 8:00am had a 45 minute hold time. I can't wait for someone to come on as I'm at work and my 15 minute break and 30 minute lunch break aint gonna cut it due to the brutal hold time. Now the automated system tells me that there was already no availability for my date and time.

Started 7am, got through 8:15am. Got 2 dinner ADRs for our January trip!

Used automated system by saying "Make a Dining Reservation" when prompted... I did not ask to speak to an agent because I figured I'd be on hold forever.

Said $10 charge for no show but didn't ask for credit card. But we will definitely show up!

I got my ressie for 1/30 at 5pm.

I was on hold since 6:00 CST after I was booted from the automated system. The call agent even had some trouble making that day and time work, but after a few tries, got our first choice to go through. So, if you get bumped to an agent, it may be because they're having some troubles too. Not sure why. Just my experience and what the CA said while I was on the phone.

Started trying right at 7am, My Verizon phone said network not available- had to turn my phone off and back on in order to access the network, spent the next 20min trying to get thru before I had to leave for work, started again at 745 finally at 815 when I was ready to give up hope after dialing on both my cell and work line I GOT THRU.
