Hi all?

Here's the situation. I registered for the WDW Marathon, but unfortunately got injured a few months ago, which set back some of my training. I'm getting back into running now, but probably won't be able to train for the full marathon.

the half marathon is sold out, is there any way I can switch from the full marathon to the half? maybe if there are some people who are switching from the half to the full?

thanks.

Emailed or call runDisney soon to ask this question. My guess is they will make some exceptions now, despite the half being full. Good luck and I hope you get to swap.

Thank you all!

I emailed runDisney last night. I hope there is availability, or maybe someone can swap.

thanks again.

How is everything going with your injury? I am in week 6 of no running due to a stress fracture and plan to start up again on Wednesday using a treadmill. Are you still planning to run The WDW Marathon?

Another one here in the same boat--stress fracture. And not healing very quickly either. But even if I can't train til November, I still plan to do Goofy--obviously not racing and maybe run/walking. Hopefully, my foot will agree to go along with this plan!

i was on crutches, cane, and even scooter for over 3 months!! i'm better now and have been using the elliptical for the past 3 weeks. my first run in 4 months will hopefully be this friday. my doc says to only run a half mile then stop. baby steps. we can do it!!

Keep us posted! DH and I are planning to run the full in 2014 but I worry that my knees might not hold out. If we have to switch t the half I might just register for the goofy to guarantee us a spot.
