I got engaged

I got engaged last night!!! I am so excited!!

We came home from Chris's friends house, and we were going to watch a movie. He was in the bedroom playing with my cat. I lived alone for several years and as a result, I just love my cat to death. He was trying to put the ring on her collar and have her bring it to me, but she doesn't normally wear a collar so she was having no part of it. He really wanted to do it then, so he went to plan B.

So he made me a cranberry and vodka to drink as we watched our movie, and he put the ring on the drink stirrer. He brought me the drink and I saw the ring and I was like no way. He got on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!

I am so happy!!!

Now we just have to start planning.

Thank you all so much!

My DF is working at an NYE event last night, so I got together with a bridesmaid and did some planning. Now I have to run it by DF.

I think I want my colors to be lilac and silver.

I also want to do a Disney theme. As much as I love Cinderella, I think I am staying away from that for now... as I like to do things a bit different.

I saw a When you wish upon a star theme on another thread. I also came up with an under the sea theme.

If anyone has any other ideas let me know!!

I think you theme ideas sound great- I had trouble picking just one. You could always decorate each table with a different theme . . . Have fun!
