I've been watching for decent airfare from Louisville to Orlando for months. Nothing. Nada. We had resigned ourselves to driving.
Tonight, I got home from work and checked my Southwet dings from today.
Lo and behold--there's Indianapolis to Orlando!!
Indy is about a 2 hr drive for us, but, for 4 of us total airfare was only $360.00!!! Worth that 2 hr drive to save almost $200.00!! Booking the exact same flights through the Southwest site would have cost me $547.60.
I noticed something, too---I originally clicked a 2:15 return flight out of Orlando (with a layover) and the fare was almost $500.00. I checked the flight leaving 15 minutes earlier (no stops) and the price dropped to my $360.00!!!
I was so excited, I could barely get my info typed in fast enough. I was afraid I would lose the flight, because while I was looking at the schedules, one sold out in front of my eyes!
I am so excited! Can't wait till DH gets home to tell him what I did!!
