I got an offer for a free disney vacation ...

The email was from Disneyworld and it stated that if I purchase in at the new Saratoga Springs Resort that I get a free disney vacation and that i would have to call dvc.

Anyone else get this offer?

It states that the Sarasota Springs starts at $13,000+

got me curious though.

I even got an email about the New Mission Space ride. Something about an exclusive offer. This also from Disneyworld.com.

Now I only wish they would send me discounted hotel room codes/offers but have never gotten one.

I received the email, too. I would assume anyone who registered for the email got this. Does anyone know how many points you have to buy to get the $10 off or the complimentary vacation? Looking at the little bit I've seen on the DVC website I'm guessing 150.

Hi,

We just came back from our Disney vacation yesterday and today we joined DVC at Saratoga Springs. The offer is $10 per point credit and the use year is December 2003. They are letting you keep your points for the December 2003 starting year and your can get the $10 per point credit. OR instead of the credit you can get a vacation in points from them. There are many restrictions on the vacation. The dollar credit is a much better deal we think. If you finance with Disney you don't start until May 2004 when the resort opens, but you get the points to use from December 2003.

Me again. The $10 per point is for every point. So you buy 210 points, you get $2100. You must buy at least 150 points. After that you can buy in increments of 1, like 151 or 163 points.

Thsi is different info from what I've been reading. I thought it is 100 points to get the incentives, but 150 if you are buying for the first tiem. Is that what you mena?

Also, I've read conflicting posts reagrding the December use year 2003. If you get points in December 2003, I thought you can't use those even at other DVC resorts until SSR officially opens cause you aren't chraged your dues or financing payments until then.
In that case, you'd have those SSR points you got in December 2003 just sitting in your account all thsoe months until May. I woudl ahve to add on a Dec use year cause that si what I ahve at BCV. You woudl ahve littel time to use those poinst before you woudl have to bank before those poinst expire in November 2004.

New people joining must buy 150 pts.

Members doing add ons must buy 100 pts to take advantage of the incentives.

I believe the OP stated 150 pt minimum because they were buying in for the first time.

Don't know any info about the December use year. I thought I read that you had to bank those into 2004 if you received them in 2003.

With the December 2003 use year you can book SSR starting Jan1 for May on out. You can't book other resorts until May when SSR opens. Or you could bank if you want too.
