I got an idea.. things to do with kids at FW

I have been skimming through posts this morning and thought about starting a thread about what you do at the campground.

Maybe at Disney, or anywhere else you camp.

My kids love to ride their bikes and meeet new friends.
We rollarblade around the park and get some exercise.
We play with the RC cars.
We people fish.. (which inculdes a dollar bill on a fishing pole,,shhh secret)
We play games, trade pokemon/ u gi yo cards


Now.. tell me things you do,, especailly when you are at FW.
This will be our first visit, and we leave in less then a week.

Our 8 and 10 year old boys are real basketball freaks right now! Thankfully FW has basketball courts.

We have to make the grand circle tour of FW playgrounds looking for 'friends'. Have you ever noticed that you can't go anywhere in FW without passing a playground.....and the 4 year-old loves to play with other kids!

Ft Wilderness has tether-ball and courts for tennis and volleyball. I think they even have shuffleboard. You can rent canoes and paddleboats for use in the canal. Also for rent (besides bikes/carts) are cane fishing poles for use in the canal.

Don't forget the marina where you can rent pontoon and water sprites.

Petting zoo, hay rides, carriage rides, horse-back riding, rocking on the various porches, hiking/nature trail, etc.

My my dd4 loved the pained hopscotch behind the meadow trading post. We had to go everyday!

Ooh, we'll have to check that out. She's been showing us how to 'hopstop' at home!!
