So, I got an e-mail from WDW Guest Communications regarding FP+.

This person from WDW will be calling me, either Wed. or Thursday, to discuss my concerns with FP+.

I want to have a list ready of all the negatives of this program. I will be fair and TRY to make a list of all the positives too (albeit a very short list )

If you have possible solutions to some of the problems with FP+, I would appreciate hearing that too.

I don't want to leave anything out so I would appreciate anything you think I should have on either my pro or con lists.

Thank you! I will let you know how it goes!

One thing I recommended in my phone call with them was considering upping the number of FP+ available in MK, given how many more attractions there are there compared to the other parks. The CM I was speaking with seemed a bit surprised by this suggestion.

I don't mind the sound of fp+, so I would just ask to be able to use in more than one park, end the tiering, and add a 4th. Otherwise, I like the idea.

Thanks, I'm writing these all down. :thumbsup2

Allow a second ride for some headliners. My son was devastated he couldn't ride his favorite ride more than once. Just use the new system like the old one, except allow reservations ahead for two rides then pick more after in the parks.

Ditto, we park hop every day and I'd like to be able to have a FP+ for both parks, without tiering and 4 would be nice. Other than this, we enjoyed the experience in Oct.

I would love to be able to pick one at a time after the first three are used. And I hate only being able to pick in one park. And the tier system is terrible.

I suggested:

- Two headliners in each of HS and EP, with the ability to ride a headliner twice instead of once each. For example, HS gets 2 headliners plus 3 others. I could choose to rise TSMM twice (family with small kids), TSMM and RnRC once each, or RnRC twice (thrill ride seekers). Same concept for EP.

- at least 5 for MK

- AK is fine with 3, but would like ability to reride favorites.

- basic need more, no tiering, ability to park hop, etc.

- also asked for a toll free number to call Disney since I've spent hours on the phone long distance trying to fix their issues

- and change ADR cancellation penalty to 1 hr prior to reservation. I explained that I was simply not making any table service plans because I couldn't be certain that I would be where I was planning to be 24 hrs before (or even night before).

Being able to pick up more on the actual day. I can see where they have to limit the number in advance so that everyone can get their share but how about more when you are at the park and have used your advance ones up. Or at a second park.

Being a family with a small child, we loved the ability to reserve ahead rather than do the run across the park for a paper FP (which actually allowed us to do Soarin' and TSM without any stress!).

Cons were that we couldn't rebook a new FP+ when we missed one we had and we couldn't book in more than one park per day to maximize our hoppers.

We weren't subject to tiering, but I know that would not work well for us because waiting upwards of 60 minutes for a ride with a young child is a no go. Without multi-park booking, we'd have to have seriously complicated strategy to hit all the headliners and I think it would involve a lot of zig sagging between parks...blah!

And what about those trying to get a FP for TSMM and all tickets are gone because families like yours reserve two rides at 60 days out? The second would need to be reserved after the first is used.

Suggestions:
Get rid of tiering
Allow park hopping FP+
Keep 3 FP+ with unlimited after your in parks and have used all you FP+ (Ex. Use first 3 get a 4th use that get a 5th and so on)

I agree with others.

We would like to be able to FP+ a favorite more than once.
We would like to be able to get more than 3...maybe after being in the park.
The tiering is terrible!!

The old system rewarded a family for spending more time in the parks. Our family would be in the park from rope drop until closing eating all meals and snacks all day plus all the bottles of water since travel in the summer months. Because we spent the whole day in the park, we were able to get many more FPs than 3. Now a family that can use their morning to do something offsite spending their money in other places can walk into the park at 4 p.m. and spend very little money in the park and get rewarded with the same amount of FPs as our family that has been there all day.

Another problem we have with the new system and we are a small family is not everyone wants to ride the same things. We are a family of 3. My DS isn't old enough to ride alone. He loves Splash. I do not! We will get a FP+ for this ride so he can ride it at least twice, once at rope drop and once later with FP+. Now I have an extra FP+. I have no desire to ride anything alone. A good bit of my enjoyment comes from sharing the rides with my family. What good is that FP+ to me??

I agree with most of the posts, but I would suggest that after you use your 1st FP you are open to get another, so that you always have the ability to have 3 at any given time. Sometimes your FP are late I he day, so that doesn't give you much opportunity to add a 4th even if it were an option. If you were offered an extra after you used yours say at 7:00pm, you could probably get in a 4th before park closing. If you have to wait until you have used all 3, and they are all scheduled in the evening, you probably will miss out on getting any extras.

Get rid of tiering

The ability to always have 3 FP, when 1 used, another becomes available.
Also, the creation of more single rider lines would really help for he headliner rides.

What about putting in "windows" like the old system? So you can book 2 or 3, 60 days out, but after you enter the park you can get another and two hours later (or if you use one you are holding) you can get another, etc, etc. Just like the paper was. For us, we don't get to the parks before noon and stay till 2am (we plan our trips around late emhs). So it is really handy to be able to book FP+ for 10,11,12 at night, but we still want to use the occasional FP earlier in the day.

Here are some suggest with an Off site perspective:
-Allow at least 24 hours for booking fp+ online so Offsite people do not have to waist precious time in the park waiting in line at a Kiosk to book fp+ and it would still give priority for onsite people who can book 60 days ahead of time. (hopefully this will change soon, but always good to let them know people want this)

-Treat Shades of Green (the military resort on Disney property) guests with all the on site privileges like they use too just a few months ago before MB, they have served our country, they should not be treated like a second class citizen at Disney parks.

And here are some things other people said I just want to agree with:
-Somehow allow booking some rides multiple times
-Allow park hopping with fp+
-More fp+ at MK

DisneyMountainWoman, not sure if you have heard they are going to start testing prebooking for off-site guest soon. Check out this thread for more info.

While we haven't experienced FP+ as of yet (so I would say my suggestions may be flawed), my thought's are as follows:

1) allow 6 Tiered FP+ per park, per day: tiering could be based on historical wait times or ride capacity (I would think they correlate). 3 FP+ for major headliners w/longest waits and 3 for anything else. This would allow a guest to get attractions like space mtn./splash/thunder or buzz/ToT/RnR, etc... at least 1x per day and then have 3 others that should be easier for WDW to integrate because ride demand is typically lower and/or ride/load capacity is higher. 6 FP+ per day would likely make many feel like they got a full day in. Also, allow booking same attraction multiple times if that is how one wants to use their FP+ allotment

2) enable park hopping, there is no reason why this couldn't be integrated (other than IT challenges)

3) allow "unlimited" same day FP+ like the legacy system in lieu of prebooking for guests who want to choose that option

The website seems to be very buggy, when changing FP+ times. Our itinerary shows six FP+ per person on one day. The website is unable to communicate the actual state of FP+'s reserved. I don't like being a beta tester without some perk.

Why does the phone app need access to my phone's camera, network communications, Phone calls, location, and Battery/shutdown? I am not sure the benefits of the new system outweigh the intrusion on privacy.
